Even some of the bars around here are ringing in the New Year at 9pm. I guess that means us old-timers can't stay awake until midnight. I've set out some board games and we'll see how it goes.

hey y'all. it's just after 10 here and we've been hearing more fireworks tonight than we ever have since we moved here. DH is just about ready to go to sleep. the home health nurse came today and changed the wound-vac dressing. his foot is getting better, slowly. it's just going to be months before it heals completely.

we decided to take DD, DSIL and Ezra out to our favorite Chinese buffet tomorrow night since DSIL is heading back to Kansas City on Thursday.

2024 was a very difficult year for us, and for several of us here. I'll just say it....2024 was he!! for us. I have great hope that 2025 will bring better days for all of us.

here's to good health, enough prosperity to see us through, beloved family and dear friends, and more peace and kindness in this world in 2025.

@AuntG We played Monopoly...for 3 hours!!! Wrapped it up around 9:45 since we both had "money", hotels and houses and neither of us were willing to negotiate and sell properties to the others. I called it "done" and a draw. A bubble bath and slipped into clean sheets changed in the afternoon....Love clean sheets!!!
