Good Morning!

@viva923 , been hearing on the news about the severe weather out your way. If you need to be out...please stay safe.

@JudyL , I hope you can get things worked out with getting physical therapy started. It's so important. I'm sure having your doctor involved will help. Reading all your going through, it's not making me look forward to it at all.

I just received the walking sticks we ordered. I haven't  used them outdoors since I got them last night. I tried indoors, and they'll be good for balance and different exercises. I think you'll like them!

All our Christmas stuff is put away. The house looks bare! I didn't think I decorated that much, but it took us two days to get it all done. We need to get out and run a few errands. Our weather's been cool, in the 60's, low 40's at night. No rain, and we could sure use it too.

Wishing Everyone a good day...happy Sunday!

@SleeplessinSD  - I received my walking sticks but haven't opened the box yet.  Was going to today.  Don't think I should use them quite yet but hoping, maybe in a few weeks.  I hope the PT situation is straightened out soon as I'm starting to lose my patience.

Re: “2025” Everyone, Please Join Us!

hi all. yesterday DD and I went together to get our Covid vaccinations. I intended to get the RSV vaccine too but the pharmacist said Medicare requires a prescription with a diagnosis code, otherwise the cash price is $400. what??? I'll have to message my PCP and ask her to e-prescribe the vaccine, or I won't be getting it..

DD and I both are having adverse reactions that neither of us has had before with the Covid vaccine. I am having the worst headache I've had in ages, starting about an hour after the vaccine, and DD is aching all over. right after we got the vaccine we took Ezra to a beignet place and enjoyed lattes and beignets....before the side effects started.

we have severe weather approaching, which should be here tonight.. thunderstorms, high winds and possible tornadoes are in the forecast. then the cold weather will start, with below freezing lows at night. DSIL went back to KC on Friday. he worked on Saturday but the plant shut down and sent everyone home that afternoon because of the weather. he sent me photos of all the snow and said it was 22 degrees with a "feels like" temp of -3. they may not be able to get to work tomorrow.

@JudyL, the pain, swelling and stiffness is tough. I remember it well. and issues with getting your PT started doesn't help. the regular PT work outs really do help you recover, so there is light at the end of this tunnel. surely that issue can get resolved ASAP.

@SleeplessinSD, with our Christmas tree down, that corner of the room looks so bare. I was looking around last night and realized I forgot to take Ezra's stocking down. now it looks even more bare. I opened all my wreath bags Friday, looking for my plain red berry wreath I always put on the front door after the Christmas wreath is put away. I have 2 and both of them have seen better days....the berries are falling off and they just look worn out. I've probably had them for 10 years or more. so they went in the trash and I ordered a plain faux cedar wreath with a few red berries from Amazon

, which should arrive tomorrow.

May be an image of pinecone

I pulled out the old, spindly flowers planted around my little cedars in my front door pots yesterday and planted purple and white pansies that I bought on the way home. I know pansies are cold weather plants, but I'll cover them when the below freezing temps arrive .

BBL, y'all..

@MariotaMurielle  - Definitely check with your PCP about the RSV vaccine needing the Medicare prescription and diagnosis code.  I didn't need that when I got mine and Medicare covered the cost.

Your new wreath looks very nice.  I bet it will look pretty on your door.  Take care with the storms coming your way.

I second that prescription stuff-we got our 2 years ago and DID NOT NEED ANYTHING Medicare paid for the shot no problem. could it be something in your state, that maybe.

We are hunkered down for the night now and just wait and see=storm is now been moved to 12am-1am begin time and go for 23 hours. call for up to 12 inch but who knows will be get it wait and see=we have a snow blower. have gotten a heads up from one of my neighbors they would shovel for us if needed.

Vaccines should be covered under Medicare, provided you have Medicare Part D & original Part B according to google.

Had a wonderful time at my son & DIL's house. Everyone enjoyed the strawberries with the spiced whipped cream I made. Good thing I bought 2 16 Oz. packages. We went through one!

Looks like the mid Atlantic will get about a foot of snow.

The Maryland CPS has a cute video on YouTube announcing tomorrow's a snow day!

I tried to post link, but look for it on YouTube. It's catchy.

Re: “2025” Everyone, Please Join Us!

@JustJazzmom, I have medicare part B, D and a supplement, so I don't know what the issue was.  I messaged my doctor and asked her to send a prescription, so we'll see.

the storm system has arrived and we have a tornado watch. it's pouring down rain, the wind is blowing pretty hard and our front porch ghost is howling. it's moving pretty fast, though, so it should be out of here soon.

I talked to DD and she still feels terrible. she rarely takes off work, but she said if she doesn't feel better in the morning she won't be going in. my headache is not completely gone but it's much less intense.

last night I dreamed that I was at work. I had been pulled to work in a pediatric clinic (which I've never done in my life) and was the only RN. I didn't even have an aide, an LPN or any front desk staff. people were bringing sick children in and I was putting them in rooms, assessing the patients, directing traffic, answering the phones...someone from administration showed up and told me that hospital inspectors were making rounds and I needed to make sure everything looked good. I told them I didn't have time to worry about inspectors...then I woke up. I've been retired since 2014 and I still have stressful dreams about work..

sending blessings to all.

here's a Mississippi River sunset at Greenville....with seagulls, 280 miles from the coast.

have a peaceful evening, y'all.

@MariotaMurielle  - That was a stressful work dream!  Bet you were glad when you woke up and realized it was a dream.

It's a chilly but sunny day here.  However, if you go a few miles up the freeway, the fog is very thick.  Not sure what I'll be doing today, probably just house stuff.

Re: “2025” Everyone, Please Join Us!

JudyL both dogs died-humans got out-fire report is both dogs ran and hid firemen could not find them-they perished in the fire-the whole center of the house is gone-2 ends are left looked like a circular fire from looking at the house what is gone and what is left.
