I recently have noticed a change in body odor. I have been looking for a new perfume so I typed in "perfumes" for ladies over 60. I am soon to be 76 and was somewhat surprised to read that these "changes in body odor"  are  fairly normal as we age and that some perfumes do not interact well with these changes.  The youtube channel I went to suggested 5 perfumes that might be beneficial to you and described certain scents in perfumes that might be better for older ladies. Here are some suggestions:

Skin Reserve

Clean Reserve

Wood Sage by Jo Malone

Un Jardin Sur Re

Shisheido Jinza

Lelabo Another 13

There are other videos on this subject I am going to check out, too.   Some perfumes just interact better with older skin supposedly.

Everything changes as we get older.  I would like to find a new scent and just may check into these mentioned.  I just don't want to have that "old lady smell"!!  LOL!

Sorry, but I just have to question the idea of "old lady smell" altogether. I totally believe this is a made-up thing to create new insecurities to sell products, perhaps.....and it's not very nice. People can make YT videos and say anything. I understand that our sense of smell may be compromised as we get much older (for some), but there is no new smell that we should be worried about just because we are getting older. Good grief. 😎 There is enough ageism already in the world!

I thought a couple of months ago that this was a sinus problem or all in my imagination, or a medication problem.

I really haven't obsessed about it very much.  I have been looking for a new scent because the ones I have now are a bit strong for me and thought I would pursue a recommended scent like this if I can find one in my budget.      My husband always compliments me when I smell good! I want to keep that going!!!!

I love this fragrance!  Just opened my 2nd bottle.  It sits on my night stand.  It's my bedtime fragrance (80% of the time).  For those who like a fragrance that only someone hugging you could detect, this is one.  Think I'll wear it to my haircut appt today to see if my sweet hairdresser comments on it.  She gives the best hugs Smiley Happy

Re: Perfumes For Ladies Over 60

My experience from working in a hospital is that we did have older patients who did not bathe  regularly  or only bathed once a week due to various medical issues or  diminished income . Also various medications  can  cause people to emit  an odor .  People with kidney disease can emit an odor . I also found those that take those " garlic tablets " often smell.

I think these fragrance companies are just coming up with some type of " Over 50 " campaign  to generate more money.

For me the old lady fragrance is smelling like a sachet  or like  laundry detergent .

@jubilant  I do not believe a word of this.  Just another sales ploy.

That's nasty too. Wow.
