I'm just hoping I don't blown away with this storm hitting CA right now. LOL The wind is awful. May end up in Kansas! The wind sounds like "B' horror movie right now with it hitting the house, howling and whistling, etc.. Egads!

Office sent around an email last night saying that everyone is to work from home the rest of the week. Fine with me! Do not want to go out in this weather.

So far power is holding on - enough for me to buy the TS from HSN. LOL

well....2023 hasn't started off very well for us. DSIL was told by the oncologist that he is stage 4 instead of stage 2, and will require very aggressive chemo followed by radiation. his prognosis and how much radiation he will need depends on how he responds to the chemo.

DD called yesterday morning and said Ezra had been running a very high fever during the night and needed to see his doctor. she's been having car problems so we took her and Ezra to the pediatrician. the bad news is he tested positive for Covid. the good news is it seems to be a fairly mild case. he was pretty sick Tuesday night but seems to be better today. he and DD will be here with us until the isolation period is over. thankfully DH and I have had all the vaccines/boosters, so we're praying that we won't get it.

we had some pretty bad thunderstorms yesterday and last night but the really severe storms were north of us.

@MariotaMurielle , I'm so sorry to hear the bad news regarding your DSIL's cancer. He'll continue to be in my prayers as he goes through his treatment. I'm also sorry to hear sweet Ezra has Covid. Thank Heaven, it's a mild case. Your family is dealing with a lot right now. Thankfully, you are close and can be there for each other. Take care.🙏

@JudyL , Where in CA. do you live? We're in the San Diego area. It's been cold and raining all week here with no let up in sight. I just heard our weather forecast for tomorrow. Wind, heavy rain and we're on a flood watch. Yikes!
@CatWhisperer , thinking of you. Stay indoors, safe and warm with your kitties if you can.

As I've mentioned, I keep in touch with our friend Snardy. I hadn't heard from her since right before Christmas. She wrote me today she had been in the hospital with pneumonia, an acute respiratory infection and the flu. She's home now, but says she's still not feeling well and in bed. Her DH is quite ill too. Please say a prayer for them. I'm worried, as they both have not been in the best health for a while.

Good Morning! The sun is finally coming out, playing golf today DH took all the Xmas decorations down and now the clean up begins tomorrow! I'll dust the shelves by the fireplace and put back my regular decor and swiffer the floors. Today is DD's birthday, she's 33, her brother is taking her out to a restaurant of her choice tonight.

MM--I'm so sorry to hear about the news that your DSIL got this week, I'll be keeping him and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers during this really difficult time you're all going through. I hope baby E gets better quickly and that you all stay healthy too.

SISD--Sorry to hear that Sandy and her DH aren't during well. I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers too!
