well....2023 hasn't started off very well for us. DSIL was told by the oncologist that he is stage 4 instead of stage 2, and will require very aggressive chemo followed by radiation. his prognosis and how much radiation he will need depends on how he responds to the chemo.
DD called yesterday morning and said Ezra had been running a very high fever during the night and needed to see his doctor. she's been having car problems so we took her and Ezra to the pediatrician. the bad news is he tested positive for Covid. the good news is it seems to be a fairly mild case. he was pretty sick Tuesday night but seems to be better today. he and DD will be here with us until the isolation period is over. thankfully DH and I have had all the vaccines/boosters, so we're praying that we won't get it.
we had some pretty bad thunderstorms yesterday and last night but the really severe storms were north of us.
