Hi pnut! Welcome to Wen!

No, you don't need to buy Lav or anything else. The CCs in the package will be more than enough to start with.

Like JeanLouiseFinch said, there are no hard and fast rules!

If I may make another recommendation, use one Cleansing Conditioner at a time (every week/month/whatever interval you need) to see how it will work for your hair.

I agree with this.

When I started using WEN, I spent the first year using only the Cleansing Conditioner, then branched out and have now tried almost everything. Some things I gave up on and others I rely on, but spend some time just on the cleansing conditioners and decide if you like those before you branch out.

Kept reading all the threads and came upon a great one-- Wen 101 by bebe777. Answers everything! But thanks again to everyone.

Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of WEN! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Hope you enjoy your lavender CC the scent is heavenly, just like the lavender fields in France.

It sounds like we have similar hair types, so I'm adding this info just incase your hair reacts like mine. I have past the shoulder, fine, STRAIGHT, glassy hair. While the LAV gave me volume, it was a little too drying for my hair and I had to add FIG to it.

So, as JLF said, try all in your kit till you find one that works best for you. There is a learning curve with WEN, and you might find that once your hair is healthy you're product needs may change. IE: I needed FIG as 2nd cleanse for the first 6 months because my hair was fried, but now that it is in great condition I use BGT as my 2nd cleanse and just add FIG once in a while. Now that I mention it, where did I put that LAV, bet my hair will LOVE it now! Off to the stash.....

Hope you have Wonderful success, and the folks here are really helpful, so come on back for a visit!

Re: 1st time WEN user...Have ???

I have long, straight, fine hair and lav is okay, but I like many other scents better. Fig is the most moisturizing and is often suggested for wiry or super curly hair, but it works just fine for me. I would suggest starting with Sam or Pom. Enjoy. Michele
