Hello, halfpint. I know lots of morning people. Hubby was one of those. When our kids were small and I had to get up and get them ready for school, I did, but sometimes I could hardly stay awake until they left.

It's such a nice sunny day here that I'm sure you are enjoying it. Hope you get out to walk a bit.

Yes, more rain is coming. I like it a lot, but know that not everyone does.

We so need it though. Things are looking more green around here.

Am looking forward to Friday to the peaceful passing of power from one president to another which other nations don't have.

Hope you have a nice day.

Hi Silkeej, there were some good games on Sunday. Maybe the Super Bowl will really be exciting.

Sorry your kids were sick. Sounds like they are better. DD had a cough that kept her awake at night for several nights, and then she got other symptoms. I don't think it was flu, but she is better and back to work today. I'm glad we have two bathrooms.

I stayed out of hers during that time.

We have had more rain than for years and it's so welcomed. They are forecasting more this week and maybe into the next one. It's almost like the old days when it rained day after day. Things are greening up now. More importantly the reservoirs and dams are filling.

It's sunny today. Hope you enjoy your afternoon.

Thanks Snappy; I will tell Bobbi what you said.  Am so happy that she doesn't seem to be grieving as much for Buck any more since her emphasis is now on spiritual things. Everyone is praying for her and she said to give all her thanks.

Have always loved the stories particularly about all the English kings and queens of old. The Henry 8th story has been retold over and over again and because of it I gained much interest and information about the reformation.  At this time in my life one would think I would have no interest but perhaps researching so much helps to keep my mind active.

When my daughter did family research and through Ancestry, we learned that our primary ancestors are British, along with those from Norway and Holland.  My Dad always said he hoped he was related to Vikings; just man talk I'm sure as they were one cruel bunch!

Also looking forward to the big event on Friday; may well be the last one for me so best not to miss it.  My hope and prayer is that our great nation will once more come together for the common good!  Remember "united we stand, divided we fall".

I too take antidepressents, Snappy, they do little or nothing to help me sleep.  After all, we are all so different in our chemical makeup....took several tries before finding even one that would agree but they are a big help in keeping everything in the right prospective, particularly at this time in life.

Just received an email from Ruth Ann; hadn't communicated in a long time.  Her pain is probably beyond what most of us would even understand...she was wise to move in to smaller living quarters and to a place where her meals can be provided. She was always a favorite of mine; my heart goes out to her because of the pain she has had to endure since losing her only child even though it was years ago.  It's something one will never recover from.

Much love,

HiLo
