Hi Snappy and Friends,   I hope your weekend was relaxing and peaceful.   It's rained off and on here today and is quite dampish here in the house and was downright chilly till I pushed the thermostat up a bit.

I didn't sleep very well last night as my right leg kept bothering me.  It's kind of like when I had a ruptured disc pushing on the spinal cord and was causing a lot of trouble.   I sure hope that's not the case again as last time it required a laminectomy.   Back surgery is something I don't want to face again.  I know from a long ago MRI, that I do have a couple of bulging discs and possibly one herniated, all in the lumbar area.

I didn't do much today other than hold the sofa down in place, watching football and doing some reading.  I have about 7 new books to plow through.  I try to buy one of my favorite authors whenever Barnes and Noble have a 20% or more discount code.   I belong to their rewards club and get free shipping, so that all helps.   I did a bit of on-line shopping earlier this afternoon.    I'd rather do that than fight crowds, find a parking place, stand in line and also pay for the gasoline.  I even started ordering cat food on line and get free delivery.  No lugging heavy bags out to the car and then into the house.  I think this computer has me spoiled.

Have a lovely Monday, Everyone and keep warm. Heart

Hi karuna:

Thank you for thinking of us and our Thanksgivings.  We had a lovely Thanksgiving just immediate family but full of good food, great conversations and a lot of love. Most of my family lives in Oregon so a very long drive to another state. Getting together is few and far between  for holidays, we try to have yearly reunions to see one another.  And my DH family all live in upper state New York. I skype my DH sister and brother in-law once a week to keep in touch with the family and what's happening in their world.   We are grateful for one another.  And I am very grateful for all the friends I have on this thread.

How wonderful of your brother in-law and his wife to show their love and concern for you. Family first and always. Soup  is so good for you and your soul.  I can remember as a kid my Grandma always said soup was good for what ails you. I am so glad you had a good day.  You have a lot of people who care about you.

I'll bet getting out smelling the fresh air and checking on the bird feeders was  good for your well being.  It's a wonderful freedom we feel when we've been in bed or in the house for a period of time.  I know after my surgeries it was always a real lift for me to get outside and move around even if I was wobbly.    I know how you feel I still have so many things of my DH I just can't say goodbye too. They bring me such wonderful memories of him and tears are part of my missing him and what was. I feel like I still have a part of him with me.

Your Son's will love and enjoy your journals what a wonderful surprise for them. They will read them again and again and again because its from you. You are such a wonderful and thoughtful Mom.

As always you are in my prayers and thoughts. I am hoping for you to have a long time to enjoy your new Grandbabies.  I am sending you loving thoughts and lots of big (((hugs)))Heart
