possummink, my niece told me yesterday that she had to take my sis back to the hospital because she had more numbness. They did another CT scan, and it showed no new problems. She just over did things. She went grocery shopping, pushing a heavy cart!
When she called me last night, she was tired, but had just put on her pjs and had something to eat. The doctor told her to stay in this whole weekend. I think she will, but she was talking about walking to the mailbox...oh dear.
She has decided to retire now. She will go through the sick leave period, then let them know. Her DD who lives around the corner helped her yesterday to go through her finances and see how she could manage. Yes, it will require some wisdom as regards to what to do with the valve. But she will come to the right decision when the time comes.
She was going on vacation with a friend in June, but has decided to cancel that. She's afraid to be away from home and have this happen again. I'm really glad. And that way,s he can come to my GS's wedding.
Sorry you are having computer issues. I know my phone has the airplane mode, but don't know what it means.
I know what you mean about these machines. At first I had a mail station, which plugged into my land line and all I could do with it was send and receive emails. No attachments, pictures, etc. It was all I thought I needed. Then DD got me a netbook, and you know what that led to. I didn't think I'd have any need for a computer, but I'm on it everyday. And now that I can't walk around stores, it's the way I shop pretty much for everything. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

Hi Silkeej, thank you for praying for my sis and being concerned for me. Wish I could pop in and see her and help her, but I just am thankful for phones and computers and know her DD will be taking care of her. Yesterday was a scare, so I hope she heeds what the doctor told her and gets well. She's afraid that if she leaves the valve in place, clots will line up one after another and get stuck there. It could happen, but the doc said it's rare.
He might start her on blood thinners sooner than the 4 weeks. I think that would ease her mind, but it's a balancing act. Thankful we have the Lord to guide us.
I do hope things are well with you. I was thinking about your GD and praying she will be able to get into nursing school which is her heart's desire.
Enjoy your day,

Thank you, 10grands for thinking of my sister and me. Yes, she is an animal person for sure. Seven cats, 2 dogs. That gene passed right by me. Or she has enough for both of us. She was uncomfortable in the hospital bed. She has arthritis in her neck so it hurt.
Nothing like our own beds. I slept very well last night after speaking with her on the phone and knowing she was okay.
Blessings on you this day,
