possummink, that picture of the hot air balloons took my breath away! Wow, so many of them and so colorful. Part of me would like to try that, the more sensible part says NO way. But I can enjoy them thanks to you.

Hope you are making good progress on your move back home. Praying for safety when you go.

We are having a nice gentle rain again today. So grateful. Everything was so brown, and it also cleans the air.

Silkeej, DD also likes Tiffany style lamps and has 2 of them. They just aren't me for some reason. When hubby and I started out, everything we bought was maple, early American, and we still have the four poster bed and double dresser and mirror and a table and four chairs. Everything else has been purchased since then and is more comtemporary.

I love color, and am usually drawn to warm shades.

How nice that you are able and willing to teach your GD how to cook and bake. Wish I'd done that with my own girls. Don't know why I didn't now that I ponder it. Maybe they didn't express any interest. It does sound like a lovely activity to share and often working side by side allows for conversation and we find out things we wouldn't know otherwise.

My hubby was a vet too. WW2, and the funeral home was helpful to us as well.

They arranged for the SS change and the death certificates.

I think they know it's all a fuzzy blur for the bereaved. My SIL works for such a place. He helps in any way the families need on the day of a viewing or a burial. He really sees all kinds of ways people bury their loved ones. But it's hard emotionally.

Hi Bobbisue, thanks for being here today. So sorry your back hurts so much. Hope the hospital bed helps you. Glad you can be downstairs. We have always been glad we don't have a two story house.

I wouldn't be able to climb stairs now either. Hope you have a full bath near where you will sleep.

Praying that the eye doctor can help you also.

Take care of yourself,

Hello Halfpint, I'm enjoying the cooler, rainy days. It's very light here now, but quite cloudy as you know. Sorry your mail delivery isn't reliable at the moment. We usually have no complaints there, but when we have a sub, the mail comes very late.

Glad you got your taxes done. It's one less thing to worry about and another milestone in the year of the firsts.

Sorry you have a leak in the sprinklers. We did too, so DD just turned them off. We like you are supposed to fix all leaks and not water during the day, and then only twice a week. I really need to hose down my patio furniture, but can't. It's hard to do by hand with a cloth and cleaner, so it won't get done unless we have company which isn't often.

I never heard of Aldi's. Will be interested to know what that store is like.

Enjoy this day and may the Lord bless you,

Beautiful... Lake Como, Italy:

HI  Snappy and Friends,   Just a quick hi as I am heading to the shower and on to bed in a bit.   Did some packing and shipping today and then went shopping for a few more things and to get some fruit for DDIL who has to work this weekend.   She likes to take fruit for her lunch.

Ir was pretty nice here today after the tornadoes that struck parts of the Tampa area.  Glad DS and DDIL were not at work as one of the tornadoes got pretty close to their work area.   Many homes were damaged, some pretty badly

Have a lovely and relaxing weekend,  Everyone.
