10grands,   I am hoping the Applebee's at home has improved their food preparations.  We, my DD and I stopped going there after a couple visits and getting mediocre food.  The Applebee's here near my son's home is wonderful.  Will go and see if they have that Quesidilla Burger there.  It's so good. 

Tonight 2 of my GS, one of their friends, and I went to Chili's.  It's always good, but I had to give half of my bacon burger to my GS's friend, He calls me Grandma too and that's fine,  Most of their friends call me Grandma.   Anyway that burger was too big too.   I enjoy my time with the kids,  kind of makes me feel ''younger''.    It's just nice to interact with them.   

I hope your weather has warmed a bit.  I'm hoping for cooler weather at home, compared to here in Florida.

Hi Snappy,   I think I'd have melted if I had been in your place today with a temperature of 94.  That sounds like July weather in Missouri and usually we have the humidity to go along with it.   I'd rather be sitting in a pile of snow.  

We have a wedding to go to in June, down here in Florida.   I have to mail the RSPV note tomorrow.  It's been sitting by the phone since DDIL and DS left on their mini vacation and I finally remembered to ask if I should put it in the mailbox.   I think the date is June 11.  The bride and her family lived right behind my sons house.  The kids used to visit over the fence, and the bride was one of my oldest GS's first 'great crushes".  They are still friends and live about 20 or so minutes away on a mini farm.   The wedding will be held at her home.  

Since we don't have a Fresh Market store at home, I take some of their spices, herbs, and breads home along with some preserves.  I guess I could order on line, but I never think of that.   One of my favorite spice blends is in a grinder, and it's Sea Salt and Rosemary.  I love putting it on my eggs as the rosemary has such a wonderful scent and taste to me  My daughter loves it too, so I haul or ship it home, several containers so we don't run out.

I hope your daughter's finger is ok and that it stops  hurting her so much and soon.       

Hoping to have the car tomorrow afternoon, as the truck is supposed to be finished by then.   Fingers crossed!!

Hi possummink, yesterday it was 95, today it's in the 60s and raining! LOVE it. Just a nice gentle rain so far. The lawn was starting to look brown, so this is a blessing. But such a drastic change.

So nice that you can enjoy all the grandkids, and that they like being with you. You must be a lot of fun.

My GD is also getting married on June 11. So it's 61116. June 11, 2016. You will be busy flying home and then going back. But it's clear these people have been life long friends.

Hope you get all the shopping done and have a safe trip home.

DD went to urgent care after work yesterday. They xrayed the finger, and it is broken. A tiny break, but a break. She has been doing all the right things, but didn't understand why she had so much pain clear up her arm to her shoulder. Her doc said it wasn't broken because she could bend it and it wasn't bruised much. She feels better just knowing, so that's the main thing. It's the middle finger on her right hand and she needs to grade papers and play the piano, etc., hard with that hand. They told her it will take 4 weeks to heal, and it's been 11 days. Things usually take longer than they say.
