Hello My Friends... It has been too long since I have written and read the posts here... I went on another vacation (with a few of Danny's family) to Columbia.. If truth be told, it was not a very good time.. My SIL called and said "found us a great place and good prices, so I paid for you and you can pay me back before we go".. I did NOT even say I wanted to go, so that was a bummer for me.. I am not crying "oh poor me", but the money I spent was for getting things done around the house.. Oh well, live and learn.. I did tell her do NOT include me without letting me know first, which did not settle well with her, but "oh well"...

I'm going back to the doctor to get more "banana" medicine (anti-depressants), I can feel it's time to get back on them...

Being a widow at a young age (50), leaves me with so much lonliness.. Yes, I have my son and grandchildren, but as women we know it is not the same thing.. I don't want to marry again, but someone to hang out with, share thoughts with, etc..

Thanks for always being here everyone, I feel so at home and glad to be back..

Everyone please take care of yourselves.. Love to all..

Hello Dannyswife....So good to hear from you.  Take good care of your self.  I am sick with bad nerves and a terrible back pain.  I go to the Dr. tomorrow.  Love you.

Silkeej, good to hear from you. It's in the mid 80s going up to 90 and then right back down with rain. Hope so.

I do recall the Q selling Kincade, but the SF picture is one we bought at a collectible store. GS had given us a gift card, so we added the extra money and got this one. It's hanging in the family room to the left of the fireplace.

Thank you for telling me the name of the author of the cook books. I'll look at that after I finish here. The ones I have were written when shortening was used in cookie making, without regard for calories or nutrition. They really tasted good, I must say. But not good for us.

Oh, so happy you are secure under your new roof. Your color scheme sounds lovely.

Gray is so popular now. We had our LR/DR and hall painted in a shade of it last year.

And I think when we do the kitchen hopefully this summer, we will have gray. The furniture here in the FR is burgandy.

I also hope halfpint is making headway with the paper work. We have to do all those things when we are sort of in that period of feeling dazed. But we all get through somehow.

Enjoy the day,

halfpint, really glad your taxes are done. A friend of mine does mine and charges me $70. DD had hers done with Hand R Block and paid a whole lot more. If I remember correctly, you have someone who has done that for you for years, so maybe they will be fair.

Oh, birthdays are hard. You can still celebrate that if you want to. My hubby's birthday was April 13th. He would be 90 next week. Sometimes I've made mac and cheese in his honor because it was his favorite food on earth.

For sure we all experience those little things that go wrong around the house and yard.

I know our gardeners have gotten the weed whackers too close to a solar light, or brick and broken it, but they help us so much it's worth it. DD and I couldn't handle that ourselves.

It's hard to cook for one person. Even DD and I don't know what to eat, but we manage.

We heat things and nuke them, etc., using the toaster oven and microwave mostly.

I'm going to check out the cook books Silkeej mentioned.

Well, hope you have a pleasant evening,

DannysWife, we have missed you a lot, so thank you for being here today. Am so sorry you got rail roaded into that trip by the SIL who assumed you wanted to go. Glad you told her to not do that again. Your wishes should be respected.

It's good to get your medication since you know you need it. I wonder what "banana" means? I've taken one for a long time, but the insurance won't pay for it now. Fortunately for me, it's not cost prohibitive, and it's worth it to me.

I know you are young and understand why it would be nice to have someone to attend events with and just enjoy a meal or a movie. There was one woman here who had a male friend for many years. Nothing at all romantic, just friendship.

It's a couple's world in many ways.

Don't be a stranger here. We miss you and often you come to my mind and I've prayed for you at times like that.

Bobbisue, good to see you. I'm glad you are going to your doctor tomorrow and hope he can help you.

Sorry about the nerves, but I do understand that.

Hope he can help with the back pain.

We love you and miss you.
