Hi Halfpint1:

I know it is very confusing when our DH pass away we are expected in our grief to do all kinds of things. I made myself a list of who I had to notify he has passed and most require a certified copy of the death certificate.  Your  funeral home can help you with getting the death certificate and copies and they can answer a lot of questions for you and point you in the right direction on some of the things you need to do.   Call Social Security and make an appointment to go in and find out what benefits you have.   I said at the time someone should write a book so widows know what to do because it is a lot. If he had life insurance you need to notify them so they can process any benefits you have coming. Do you have any family that can help you with this process or a family lawyer? That I think would be very helpful to you. I hope I have been of some help to you. Keep posting I am sure other ladies on the thread can be helpful.

Oh Possummunk he is just lovely, I would love to have him. I have never seen one so special, you are right his fur appears to be tufted. Wonder if he is a antique bear? Thanks for thinking of me.Heart

Silkeej, you can go to this site: http://tbwcd.blogspot.com/and check out the items she has for sale.  Many are sold already and I'm sure that bear is also.  But they are a group that sell unique items, very nice I might add.  You can also email her lorianncorelis@mac.com and ask her directly if the bear is still available.   Hope that helps...  the site is called The Best We Can Do...not sure my links will work.

White Crocus In Snow Crocus:

Hi Snappy and Friends,   It's a sunny but blustery day here and cooler.  The breezes have been gusty off and on but the sky is cloudless.   I'm glad it's cooler again.   The humidity was building before all the storms came through.

I hope that none of you were around the violent storms that roared through the southeast and further north,   I saw that even some of the Amish in Lancaster, PA had some farm damage, buildings too.

My brother called last evening and said we'd had snow at home.  He also told me that the snow crocuses were blooming.  Mine are similar to those above,  though some are striped and some deep purple.  Guess it won't be too long before the snowdrops bloom.   Love all those early Spring flowers,  Love all flowers.

@possummink, thank you so much for the beautiful photos of the crocuses poking through the snow becasue for me that's the celebration for the coming of spring.

Tulip Fields, The Netherlands

@possummink, I'm just now wondering if these tulip fields were in some way part of the inspiration for Mondrian's later paintings. I think that Mondrian was Dutch.

Hello ladies.  My computer is acting up.  Not getting emails and all the emails are going to spam file.  There are other emails I just don't get.  I'm taking it in Monday.  I don't know how long it will be down.  I'll post again when it is fixed.

Phluphy,   I went to the site and found the above bear, but he's part of a vignette,(bed, pillows, coverlet, etc.).    Some cute items but all were sold,  She mentioned email, and probably would do requests,  not sure,  just a guess.

I found the one below on Pinterest.   She has quite an assortment of critters, bears, squirrels, rabbits, ~~  all cute and some pricey

The Spotted Hare: Wednesday again?:

Dearest Halfpint, I think you sill find the SS people to be effecient and things will be clear. The mortuary arranged for me to get the death certificates. I got way more than necessary as some places didn't want one. But it's better to have too many. Don't remember how long it took for them to come, but not long. These are the hard things we all have to do, but in a way it's helpful. When I finished all of that sort of thing I recall feeling depressed because there was nothing more to do for hubby. Don't be surprised it you feel something like that. Of course we are different people so you may be fine.

Glad you found your credit card and some money you didn't know was there.

One day when DD was working in the garage, she found a plain white legal sized envelope with nothing written on it and it wasn't sealed. Inside was more than $1,000 in cash! It made us cry to know that for whatever reason, hubby had put it there and he was still taking care of us. It was just about our anniversary. It blessed my heart and I know the Lord was assuring me that He would always provide what I need.

Have a nice weekend,
