@snappyfrappy it's so good to hear from you.  We're in the midst of some strange times for sure.  Bless your daughter for all of her years as a teacher.  Teachers don't get nearly enough appreciation that that they deserve.

It's so good to read that the great grand daughters are doing well and thriving.

I'm sorry to read about your sister's grandson who is in the hospital.  My eldest sister had Guillaine Barre.  It's an auto immune condition that attacks a person's nerves.  I always felt that her case moved in on her slowly because she was already on a biologic infusion therapy for rheumatoid arthritis.  I think that masked the Guillain-Barre symptoms until she got a flu (GB tends to follow after a respiratory infection or stomach flu).

CIDP is another condition that can do that to a person.

I pray that the doctors get to the bottom of what is going on with your sister's grandson.

@snappyfrappy

Snappy.  It is so good to read your post.   I have missed you and wondered how  you are doing.   I'm sorry you're still having to deal with that ongoing UTI.   You are in my prayers and have been all along.

I am also sorry to read about your  nephew and him having Guillain-Barre Syndrome.  Being paralyzed is a terrifying thought and I hope the doctors can help him and soon.   How scary for your family.   Sending prayers for him and his recovery.

I am glad your daughter retired.   She worked hard for a long time and being in a classroom in this day and age, not counting this new virus and it's effects,  is a very challenging job for sure.   I loved teaching when I did it, but it was back in a time when teachers and parents worked together for the benefit of the children we had in our classes.   Today it's so different and much harder.   Now your daughter can relax some and enjoy her life without deadlines and lots of stress.

Our Archbishop has granted dispensations from Mass for the foreseeable future.  Not sure if Easter celebrations and Holy Week ceremonies will be held.   Sure is a very strange and scary situation the world finds itself in.    So many lives, so much disruption, and uncertainty in everyone's lives now, just because of some deviousness and outright lies by China.   If only they'd have been straight with the rest of the world, Corona might have been contained.

Take good care,  Snappy,  I do hope you get to see your little Great Granddaughters soon.  Be safe and well. Heart

Hi< Snappy:

I am so pleased to see your post, bless your heart for always thinking of us, we all miss you so much.

Glad to hear your DD is retiring, she has earned her retirement and it will be lovely for you to have her home with you. I think right now we all feel a little vulnerable with this virus, especially in our state. We have 10 deaths today alone. We have been hit hard with this virus. I keep thinking perhaps to stop the spread the Governor needs to have all of us shelter in place for a couple weeks. Our restaurants are all closed except for takeout and my DGD office,  she's in the dental field has closed from today 3/18 to 4/9 to protect them from the virus.

Aw, the Grandbabys sound wonderful and thriving as they should. I thank God everyday for my wonderful family. Know you do too.

I will pray for your Sister's Grandson. I know God hears us as we pray to him. Miracles do happen every day.   I still pray for you and your recovery and think of you often.

Thank you for checking in, always so good to hear from you. Take good care of yourself. Heart
