ok  I am going to whine.  Yesterday at a GG's house I tripped on something while carrying a heavy plate, could not catch myself and fell against wall, plate broke in a hundred places and I sliced two fingers, the pinky pretty bad.   so much blood.  was in er for 5 hrs.   Have tendon damage to pinky finger, went to ORth Dr. this a.m,  he thinks it will heal by itself.  Now I have a cast-like thing holding ring finger and pinky finger together.   go back in a week to be checked amd remove stitches.  In the meantime, keep it dry, and hand elevated.  so my typing is the hunt and peck system.  I know it could be much worse and GG feels terrible, but accidents happen.

We are getting more rain, storms later.  Not so hot but very humid.

Oh my, 10grands! So sorry you had that fall and hurt yourself so badly! I'd kiss it and make it well if I could. Grateful you got right to the doc and that he thinks the tendon will heal on its own. I'll pray for healing and comfort. Did you bang yourself up and get bruised anywhere? Falls are such deadly things as we get older. You just vent and whine all you want and we will love you and "heart" you just the same. Take care....maybe people will wait on you?

Possummink, I made it through the storm. Thanks for the well wishes to stay safe. The really severe storms went around me. There are still people in the hard hit areas that don't have power. Storms are scary aren't they? I love the buildup to the storm, when the wind picks up and the sky gets dark, however I  turn into a big chicken when it starts thundering. LOL Thank you for the pictures! I'm so glad that you didn't give up posting . I look forward to your pictures more than you know.

Snappy, thank you for passing on the information to your friend on the other thread. I will go over there within the next couple of days.  I need all of the input that I can get. Thank you for caring , and taking the time to line that up for me. You are such a treasure. I love you so very much.

10Grands. awwwwwwww..........I'm so sorry sweetie. Please hang in there.

Phluphy, I STILL can't send out any emails! I called Comcast and got nowhere! My computer savy friend will come over this weekend and try to straighten whatever is wrong out. It's driving me CRAZY!

Snappy, I agree with you about a lot of our friends not posting. I originally didn't like the new format at all, however like you said our love for one another hasn't changed. I pray that they come back. I miss them!

10grands, so sorry you took a fall, it does hurt a few days after too.  Glad you got to the Dr. quickly and that you'll be ok in a little while.  You can whine all you want, we are here for you.

Babyfran, sent you a message, but now I see your having problems.  Sorry I was at my GD's graduation last night.  Thank goodness we didn't get that horrible rainstorm.  But they did have it inside, just in case.  She was so pretty...didn't get home until late.  Will try you again tomr.

Possummink thanks so much for all the pictures, even when I don't post, I always check to see if you have and always check in to see them.

Snappyfrappy, so glad to see you back on here, I'm not too happy with this new forum, but I'll keep trying it out.

Love to all!!  Mama S, Bobbiesue, all the great ladies on here.  We miss you come aboard and say Hi...

Going to bed early tonight, been having trouble sleeping.  Up & down all night...maybe I can get at least 4 to 5 hrs straight sleep.  That would be a blessing for sure.

Little Duckling cematis...SOOOO PRETTY! I just may have to purchase this one! :)

10grands,   I am sorry to hear about the awful fall you had.   I'm glad you weren't hurt more seriously,  though you did have an awful injury.   It hurts just thinking about that plate slicing into your fingers.    I don't understand why ERs take so long to treat and release people.

At home the rivers are flooding, especially the Missouri and now the Mississippi River, not too far from my house.   The Meremac has been flooding for a couple of weeks now.   My neighbor who has to cross the Missouri and Mississippi to get to her job in Alton, IL  can go to work  using her normal route, but to come home she has to go way around and come back by crossing the Mississippi south of where the Missouri empties into it.   Sounds confusing, but the road between the two rivers, north of us, is elevated in one direction and flooded in the south direction.

My brother says it's really humid at home,  I guess so with all the rain we have gotten in the past week or so on top of heavy rains about 10 days ago.   I imagine the mosquitoes will be terrible this year.

Take good care of yourself and I hope your finger heals completely and quickly so that it's as good as new.

Hi Everyone,   I am so late getting on here today/ tonight,  I should say.   I had planned to take my youngest grandson to the mall to get him some new shoes and to have lunch.   We did do that, but only after I fixed breakfast for my oldest GS and then lunch for my middle GS and one of his friends who stayed overnight.

I got the washer going and left for shopping.   I was kind of surprised at how crowed the mall was for a Wednesday.   We got our shopping finished and I drove GS home and headed to Publix for grocery shopping.

We had some strong storms blow though here last night with a lot of lightning.  I saw on Facebook that one of the weather persons on TV said there were over 6,000 lightning strikes within 15 minutes.   My oldest GS and his girlfriend were driving from the university to home and saw much of those lightning strikes and so did DDIL.   We had some strikes at the house that came so fast that the thunder from one strike hadn't stopped before another strike flashed.   Lots of electrical power expended last night.

Fran,   I am glad the worst of the storms bypassed your home area.   I love the rolling thunder and gentle rains, and cloud to cloud lightning.   I don't like hail or wind or cloud to ground lightning.   Had too much experience with all 3 of the latter ones,  and have had lots of damage over the years due to hail, wind and lightning.  I was almost killed by it in 1970 and my home has been struck by lightning at least 2 other times, one being about 4 or 5 years ago.  Beautiful, powerful,  but deadly.

Phluphy,   I am glad you are enjoying the photos.   I try to vary them a bit and am never sure which ones are more enjoyed,  scenery, animals, flowers, the Oceans, etc.  I am one of those who loves everything and tend to get carried away with beautiful photos.   I just wish I could take beautiful photos.   I used to do underwater photography, but was missing all of the fish action by trying to get good pictures,  so I just kind of stopped doing that.   I use my phone as a camera now,.    I like that I don 't have to haul a camera around anymore.   Getting lazy in my old age.Smiley Happy

Snappy,   I am wondering too where some of the Ladies who used to post on this thread are.   I hope they haven't given up trying to find this thread.   I keep my threads "floating to the top"   so that every time I sign in and come to the Among Friends Forum,  my threads are the top 4 on this forum and the top 2 on Community Chat and Pet Lovers.    I haven't 'floated' any others.   It makes it a lot easier and then I just click on the minutes or hours since the last post and it takes me to the right place to answer or post.

I guess I need to post this as it's already tomorrow,  Thursday.
