Tranquil lily sunrise:

Hi Snappy and Friends,   We've been having  some off and on thunder bumpers(my term for thunderstorms)  today and the humidity is almost stifling.    I went to Publix to pick up a few things along with Prilosec, which I take every day.  I'd forgotten to check my pill bottle where I keep my daily meds.   I'm glad DDIL got home early from work as I got back before the crowds rush in for last minute supper items.

Got one load of laundry in the dryer and the other in the washer.

Renee and Silkeej,  I so remember hanging clothes out to dry in the winter.  I don't know how many times I got 'slapped' by one of the frozen sheets or towels. Had to bring them into the basement for them to finish drying.   I was so glad too when fabric softener became available.  I used cotton diapers for the kids too, till Pamper came out.  Those old cotton diapers made awesome dust cloths.  Now we have Swiffer.  I kind of still like the "old ways'.  Almost as efficient, lots cheaper and probably healthier too.

Snappy,  I forgot to tell you that  "my frog" is back outside my bedroom window at night.   I've heard him serenading 'me' at least 3 nights now and hope he stays all summer.   I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I heard him start croaking and calling.  Wish there were a couple  more of them.    The neighbors have a fishpond in their back yard and I love to sit and listen, out on the patio, to their nightly chorus.  They are on the opposite side of the house, so I can't hear them in my bedroom.  Also love to hear the trains at night,

Have a lovely rest of your eveying, Everyone and stay safe and well. Heart

I would so love to have this little pond in my yard at home.Heart   Think I'll pin this and show it to my brother   Wouldn't be that much work to put one like this in, along with lilies and other water plants..

I think this is what my frog looks like.   They are small, only a few inches long.

If you have regular hummers at your feeder, remove it and sit in a chair with a red shirt on, holding a cup of feed in your hands...the hummers will literally sit on your hands and eat from the cut...totally cool experience!:
