@viva923 @northiie57 @Puzzle Piece
And to everyone else-- Wish I could give you all a hug and sit and talk. Trying to write anything doesn't seem like enough. It hurts more than words can describe. I know this is part of life but I wish we never had to experience death ever in our lifetimes. I'm so very sorry

we now understand what death is because eventually everyone will experience death. we all are born and we will all die.
the numb pain i feel i hate. the emptiness.
i began to imagine something today then I thought of my sweetie pie and back to numb empty feeling. not sure just exactly what I am suppose to feel right now.

How long has it been for you that you lost your husband?
Do you have children and are they near?
Shortly after I lost my husband I had to go into Walmart but I took my daughter because I couldn't face the world by myself. I ran into an elderly lady who was a talker. I didn't mind talking but I wanted to be moving on. She told me don't stay home. Get out and go places, every day. I thought, that "advice" doesn't apply to me. I needed to be home where I was comfortable. Going places caused me a lot of stress and often I'd cry.
Just do whatever is right for you. ♥️

Teddi
I live with one of my kids (son/wife/2 older grandkids),
did get approved for paratransist buses today-cost for normal rides is 4 bucks one way and 4 bucks back to your home, the buses will even drive their way to beach which is 2.5 hours south of me. but of course the further ways you need to have bus ride to it will cost you accordingly.my primary care doctor did sign off on care so that helped with approval.
went to grocery store today did some banking did get small walk in that was it today. later guys.

Viva, Just want to say you are doing great! You are handling things day by day, walking, and adjusting to this new reality for you. Crying is good for you, it releases endorphins and helps you cope.
Five years for me since my husband passed away and I still cry at different times. And everyday I need him to talk to or hug me. It is hard to carry on...but we have to do it. It doesn't make the grief and missing our loved one any less, we will always carry them in our heart.
I hope you find an apartment in the senior's complex. That sounds like a perfect situation for you.
Hugs and prayers to you.
