Catwhisperer,   There is no need to apologize.   I realize you were kindly looking to see how Halfpint is doing.    It's not an easy time of year for many of us here even like in my case,  Charlie will have gone home to Heaven 20 years ago at the end of this month.   The tears started yesterday while I was at Church, just thinking about that and the picture I had posted on FaceBook,  sending New Year's wishes to those family members and friends who have gone on before me.    Thinking about that and then hearing the beautiful Carol, Silent Night, one of my moms' and Charlie's favorites, being sung by the congregation, the tears just started.  It is a family favorite and never falis to get my eyes watering.  

You are handling this journey of ours,  the path of grief, really well, and I hope things do become less painful and a bit easier day by day for you.  We have no set guides for dealing with our awful loss and we find our way along this path in out own time, our own way, with ups and downs,  some good days and some awful days.  Keep up the good work and bless your heart, I hope you have a good New Year.
