Yucatángaai - Yucatan Jay (Cyanocorax yucatanicus) in Mexico by Tony Hisgett.:

Yucatan Jay

Hi Snappy and Friends,   It's been raining pretty good here for about 4 or 5 hours and may rain all night.   We really needed the rain as we were behing in the normal amount we get in October.

When I was driving to the eye doctor this afternoon, it was like driving in a carwash.   Not the best driving conditions.   On the way home, rush hour was in full swing and it was slow going, but better safe than sorry.

It's supposed to cool down and be in the low 40ies tomorrow night and then in the 70ies over the weekend.  Our leaves are turning pretty fast now and I guess a lot of them will be knocked down by all the rain.   I took a photo of one of our maples,  Autumn Flame, and will post a photo of it below.

Have a lovely Thursday and stay safe.

Hi possummink, those jays are beautiful. Glad you are getting the rain you need. I think about you digging up those banana plants and storing themf for the winter. Sounds like a big job to me. Have they started the repairs on your house?

It's already in the low 90s I think, and will probably get hotter. Comfy inside which is where I am.

The roast I got turned out well. Tender and tasty and enough left over for DD to make a sandwich to take to work today.

They had the earthquake drill..well disaster drill...and lived to tell the tale.

I had that laser zapping too to remove film that built up after the cataract surgery. When I had mine done, they couldn't put in the corrective lenses as they can now.

Thanks for the beauty and the smiles.
