Hi halfpint, been thinking about you and knowing you would like the cooler weather we had, but today it's going up again. I got out to the market for a roast and it was okay, but like you, I don't want to be out in it.

I also get lots of mail from charities. I give to some on a regular basis and they must
"share" my information with others. It bothers me to shred "free" things they send me that I didn't ask for and don't need. They could use that money to help those in need.

I had my cataracts removed in 2008. It's not hard at all and makes a big difference.

In the meantime, I hope your new glasses help you see better.

Thanks for making the effort to post when it's hard for you.

halfpint, sorry I forgot to answer your question about the taxes. I don't own the house now. I sold it to DD over 2 years ago. She has them impounded in her payment, so she doesn't get a bill. They keep out more than they need, so she gets a refund. Sorry yours are going up, I'm sure hers will also.

20 Cats in Festive Pumpkin Costumes: f

Hi Renee,   I'm glad to read your post and hope all is going really well for you.

So far, here in MO, I haven't gotten my tax bills yet.  We get two, one for real estate and one for personal property (cars, boats, etc.)  The real estate one goes up almost every year though the property values don't.  Greedy government wasting our $$$ again.   Can't do much about it though, it seems.

I saw my eye doctor today and he did a laser procedure on the eye that had the cataract surgery 2 years ago.  A bit of film grew over the lens he implanted so he made a hole in that with the laser.  No pain, fast, and my eye is much better.   I thought that I'd messed up the lens by rubbing my eye so much.  Allergies cause them to itch at times and I do rub them a lot.

We had rain, much needed, today and I loved it.  It's going to cool down some and then rebound.   I'm glad the rain gave my banana plants a good drink, as I need to start digging them out for the winter.

Take care of yourself and give your kitties a pet and hug for me. Heart
