Silkeej, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply to your post. I've been watching the Olympics as much as possible plus running more errands than usual as my DDIL has been out of town visiting relatives in Colorado. She got back this evening, and we watched more Olympics.

My son gave the ok today for the car to be fixed, if possible, contingent on the engine being ok. It wouldn't start or keep running after the accident, so we don't know if the impact damaged the motor. I'm glad your son wasn't injured in the accident he had. It's a shame they can't do something about uninsured drivers. Your son shouln't have had to pay for a new car. I'm not sure if my son's insurance would pay for a new car for my GS. His airbags didn't even deploy, which is good in a way as I've seen the injuries my neighbor got when her airbags deployed. She looked like she'd been burned and beaten. She looked awful. The airbags did more damage to her than was done to the car. It's happened to others too.

You know, I get the feeling too, that our hubbies aren't very far away at times. I'm sure they do look out for us, kind of an extra special guardian angel.

It's been raining a lot here lately, for which I am grateful. I am a rainy day person. Love rainy days and cloudy days. Charlie used to say I was a member of the "Adams Family" (on TV) I do enjoy cool sunny days but avoid sunshine for my skin and my eyes. I'm a winter type person. I'd love to send some sunshine out to you and love to have your cool temps. It's been so humid and sultry outside. I stay in as much as I can.

The squirrels here climb on the screened patio begging for peanuts. They try to catch them when I toss peanuts up into a fork in the oak tree in the back yard. Some are quite brave, but most are scardy cats.

Have a nice Wednesday. My youngest GS goes back to school tomorrow, My GDs at home went back today. Short summer.
