Hello ladies.  I did not get my surgery yesterday.  The dr. wants me off the eye drops for a month before surgery.  He will do the surgery on the 4th.  I hope all goes well.

Many posters have stopped posting.  I'm sorry about that.  MamaS has not posted in a long time.  I hope she is ok.  Danny's Wife has not posted either.  I hope they come back.

Have a good day.

Sorry about your surgery being postponed.

It was 100 yesterday and very humid!

The boards aren't the same that is for sure, but still hoping to hear from some of our friends.

Hello All!  These boards are very different that's for sure!  I read everyone's posts and then I when I am replying, I like to go back and address people/topics and this new way of doing so is confusing..

Bobbiesue, I will give you a call sometime this week.. If you need me I am a phone call away.. Please take extra care of yourself with the hot and HUMID weather coming this weekend..

10grands, nice to hear from you... WOW 100, too hot for me.. I know our weather reporters are saying that this weekend we possibly be in the 90's with the real feel of 100 ~ There goes my electric bill, but thank God for my air conditioning..

No word on lawnmower situation, the repair department is backed up.. My brother offered for me to use one of his, which surprised me that he was so nice with his "toys" and sharing..LOL..

How is everyone else doing?  Any summer outings or plans coming up?  I just have yardwork and working on my up and down sadness...

Love to all..

Hi 10grands, glad you know the latest on Bobbisue's eyes. We need to keep her in our prayers.

possummink, I laughed at the row of yellow birds on the branch and the laughing dog! I "heart" you. The niece we visited on Saturday has 2 pugs. A face only a mother could love.

Bobbisue, thank you for the update on your surgery. We will be praying for you as you wait, and hoping it's successful and that your vision will be much improved. I'm concerned also about people who used to be here, and also for anyone who will find the need for the support here in the future and not be able to figure out how to use this forum.

DanysWife, there's a loss of connection with others here now. A feeling of isolation. I just have to remember that people are out there whether I can sense them or not. Glad to see you, sorry about the saddness. I guess we all have those days, but then they pass for a time and things are better. I'm also grateful for AC even if the electric bill is higher. It's probably 90 here now, but we haven't turned ours on yet. DD took my car up to have the air bag replaced and for it's minor tune up. They were out of the passenger side air bags so I'll have to do this again. Wouldn't it be great if your DB would mow the lawn for you???? Hope your mower gets repaired ASAP.

Hello to everyone who reads here.

I wonder if people are just busy, being it is summer, but do wonder about mama , i would think she could get on, not that hard. I do agree ,there is a connnection loss here,  not much posting. I have been sick, and when i get sick,my depression takes a deep downward turn.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

Richmond, North Yorkshire

Hi Everyone,   It started out as a really nice day to spend on the beach or just sitting around the pool having a cool drink and watching people. Storms started moving in from the Gulf mid afternoon and with the lightning around, they closed the pool and then the deck.   It really rained hard for a while.    The waves in the Gulf were rough but so pretty to watch.   I love watching storms over the ocean or in this case, Gulf waters at night.   It's awesome to see the lightning displays way out over the water.

10grands,   I hope you all had a bit of a cool down.   My phone had several alerts about the heat warnings issued at home.   My DD saw a photo of a supercell storm near Troy, MO. today on Facebook.   Troy is about 50 miles northeast of where she lives in St. Charles county.

Bobbisue,   Sorry your surgery wasn't done today.   Hoping for a wonderful success when you do have it.

Phluphy,  Hope you are doing ok and that you find a perfect new home for you and kitty.   Take care,  things will work out ok.

Snappy,   When I read your comment about the yellow birds,  it reminded me of the birds we saw out by the pool today.  They looked like flocks of small parrots and were flying around some of the palms near the pool area.  Some actually landed in the palm trees above us.   I tried to get photos of them but my phone unfortunately doesn't have the type of lens I needed. (It's got just about everything else on it though).  Some guy told us that those birds were Orange throated Conures.  Kind of a coincidence as my GS wants to get a conure of some kind since Frank the Cockatiel died unexpectedly a while back.   Sure miss Frank, he was so much company and so funny.

Below is a photo of the Nanday Conure which looks like the birds we saw today.  They are loud when in a flock and flitting around the palms.  Very cool to see.
