Don't forget to thank your Amz driver if you're happy with his delivery.  They get $5 for each "thanks".  Just tell Alexa, "thank my driver".

I have been told that Alexa can be easily hacked, and people can "listen in".  Not that I'm paranoid or anything...     di

It's easy as pie to Thank My Driver on Amazon. Just type in Thank My Amazon Driver in the Amazon search bar after delivery and click Give Thanks. It could not be easier and costs nothing but a minute of time.

Bless them in the cold and maze of streets around here. Also, it saves me going out and battling the cars and people.

Cheers.

I have never seen just an Amazon driver.  My packages are always delivered by mail or UPS.

Thank you for this thread. I will now "thank my driver" regularly as the service  I receive from Amazon delivery is great.

On a related topic, I learned online that only about 25% of Lyft/Uber drivers, on average, receive tips from their passengers. A friend drives for Lyft/Uber and confirmed that this is true for him and other drivers although he does have occasional exceptional weeks.  He is an excellent driver and also kind, friendly, and helpful. Did I mention that his car is always immaculate? He has told me that many passengers say that they will give him a good tip when they are messaged  the next day. And don't! I think that is disgraceful. The culture in this country says that drivers should be tipped 15-20% if the service is good. BTW, he prefers picking up passengers from the airport as they typically are not drunk and, unlike the bar crowd, not likely to throw up in his immaculate car. Yes, it is a tough job and up to all of us to show our appreciation by giving a reasonable, or better, tip for good service.

@Q-Checker  -  Wow -  I never thought of someone throwing up in a Lyft/Uber car, but I guess it can happen if someone's drunk!   What a mess to clean up and then trying to get the odor to go away.  YUK!

Maybe Mr. Bezos should part with some of his billions and give each employee a big fat bonus.  It wouldn't even put a dent in what he has made.  I'm all for capitalism, but the  amount of wealth these corporate bandits have made is sickening. Bezos and his ilk wouldn't have anything if it weren't for hard working Americans who do his grunt work.

So yes, I'll make sure my driver gets his big $5 tip because he deserves it, but I sure do wish a lot more would come his way.

And yes, I could refuse to do business with Amazon, but the reality is CEO's of most of these companies are billionaires and it's hard to find one that doesn't have someone like them at the helm.

I live rural and Amazon drops off everything at the local post office for them to deliver--which they hate!

This is in spite of the fact that there is an Amazon warehouse about 20 miles from this post office--even packages coming from this warehouse are dropped off.

I order a lot from Amazon, and have never seen them deliver here.

@San Antonio Gal Yes, IT happens and it has happened to my Lyft/Uber driver friend.Yuck!

I am glad that these people are smart enough not to drive while drunk --- but it isn't too smart to drink so much that you throw up in someone's car.  Well, at least they were off the road and sparing the rest of us.

I just remembered to thank my driver for the pkg I received yesterday.  My fragile ceramic tissue box arrived unscathed.

Just got my delivery . I thanked my driver. She even rang my door bell to let me know my package had arrived.
