Is anyone else putting their life back together from Hurricane Ida?  We took a nasty knock.

You know, it's funny....when I'm extremely stressed, I get the sensation of de ja vu.  I could sware this happened before.  Oh well, who knows.

The men are cleaning and disinfecting the basement now.  I never had this done before.  Anyone, thank you for reading.

Praying for others that lost their whole homes.  How terribly sad.

Very shaky.  Hope everyone on here is okay.

Thank you...

Hope things are back to normal for you soon. What a terrible experience to go through. Smiley Happy

Hopefully soon you start feeling 'normal' again.

The only weather event I had to go thru was the blizzard of 1978, so I cannot relate to what you had to experience.

Me, too, on the 78 blizzard.  I think the severely affected don't have power for computer and perhaps not even cell service.  These storms have put a fork in our  idea to buy a winter home in Florida.  I'd spend the time up here worried sick.

So sorry you are suffering.  We did not get affected but I know that water damage is some of the worst a home can sustain.

I hope you did not lose much of value.  Good golly this was a terrible storm, and many people were caught unawares.

I'm particularly mindful of drainage.  Where I live, we could flood, simply because of the water table, even in a moderate storm.  I get grief but I am a stickler for prevention (gutter cleaning, functioning sump, etc).  Doesn't mean we would not get hit, though.

Constant development has changed some of the regular water flows, and of course, the engineers think they know everything.  Hmmm.

Hang in there.  Post often so we know you are doing OK.

@77yangya    Having suffered trauma from extreme anxiety, has it occurred to you that you may be experiencing a variety of PTSD which could include flashbacks?  If the feelings you're experiencing don't subside soon, I'd speak to a doctor about it.

@77yangya   Are you in an area that was hit by Katrina? If so, that may be why you feel you've been through this before.
