i had a checkup on my eye and the dr discovered that whilte i am getting  back, some vision, i have some swelling that needs to go down.  to solve  this problem, i had to have a shot in my eye. it isa steriodal shot.

no, it is not as bad as it sounds.  they numb your eye and then they brace it open.  the shot takes about 2 seconds and the n you are done.  but i was scared.

thedr was so cute.  he came in and did a takeoff on the gieco add where the patient discovers that the dr is just okay  he asked me iif i was          scared and i told himyes.  he replied he was too.  but we will figure out out.

hopefully, the  shot will help and the swelling will go  down.  i refuse to give in to this.

You've certainly been through the mill with your eye problems. I admire the way you've handled all this and your determination to see it through untill you're back to normal regardless of what you need to do or go through to reach that goal. I bet your eye doctor wishes all of his patients were like you. You deserve a medal for bravery and keeping your positive attitude.

Several years ago in a routine eye exam, my mother was found to have had some hemorrhaging in blood vessels behind her eyeball.   The fix for that was a trip to an eye specialist who injected a steroid into the eye.   One shot did the trick to reduce the swelling and pressure, and she’s been fine ever since.

Hopefully this steroid will help get you where you need to be visually!

@shortbreadlover   Hang in there!  Kudos to you for being such a good patient.  I like the sound of your ophthalmologist--good attitude which helps you to stay calm.

Hoping you have a very happy end of 2019 and a very much improved. brighter New Year in 2020.
