I enjoy mine--none of it is that valuable. Have some depression glass dishes in beautiful pastel colors that I have used and then my MIL had pressed glass things that are no big deal but I so enjoy them. I guess the one thing I do collect is fiestaware--have mostly new colors but a few vintage pieces and I use what I have evryday--the colors just make me happy. Most of my stuff is in storage tho--no room in my small apartment.

When my kids inherit this house..there will be dumpsters lining the driveway!
After my DIL's take what they like..Have already given them things they liked every time they come .
I collected a lot having a gift shop for years helped my "addiction".
@Jo1313 Please tell your kids to do an estate sale with a company. Tackling this is a nightmare. We have done it four times and it takes the life out of you physically and mentally to have this dumped on you.

My mother starting collecting in the late 50's, even had a small shop. Love antiques.

My best friend's granddaughter is getting married in September. My friend offered her some gorgeous MCM chairs and other really nice antique furniture, lamps, etc. It is all beautiful. She wasn't interested in any of it. I checked out her registry and was amazed. Who wants a spoon rest that is $50? $60 bathtowels I (needs six) and $25 each washcloths. A small trinket box that is $900. I think I will go for a gift card. It seems anything made before 2020 is outdated and worthless. She is 22 and it will be interesting to see if she changes her mind and comes calling for some things from her grandma. She is marrying a guy who is 23 and unemployeed. She is an "independent artist". I can't even fathom....

Just realized that anyone still owning an original Barbie (or those that were sold in the 60's), Ken and the whatnots associated with it, may want to watch the secondary market as I believe these Barbies will really take off thanks to the movie......
