I disliked middle school (Jr. High) so much that I don't remember anything about it.  

Well, except for gym class.  We had a woman 'general' (loud whistle and all) who wouldn't give us enough time to shower, dress, and make it to our next class. 

Talk about stress.  Just thinking about it raises my heart rate.  (I'm serious.)

@ROMARY  Same here, I went through the same thing! I hated middle school, especially 7th grade, it was the worst, but in actuality all of middle school was!

I remember Jean Shrimpton--those Yardley ads were so gorgeous! My sisters and I drove to Hudson's in Detroit to see her in person. It was worth the trip!

I also remember when Cheryl Tiegs was introduced on the cover of Ingenue.

And nothing to fix our hair after an hour of field hockey or track, and the hair styles were not “easy care.” All the nights of sleeping on uncomfortable rollers, backcombing to get the right poof, a can of aqua net to set it, and then an hour of gym to ruin it! Lol—No one looked magazine-cover polished coming out of gym. We had a drill sergeant for a gym teacher who saw no need to primp—it was shower, dress, get to class.  

The posted pictures bring back lots of memories. Such lovely girls.

@insomniac2  In 7th grade...in 1967... Yardley made a frosted pink lipstick that was SO IN!  Everyone wore it.  Do you remember it?

@LTT1 I get you 100%, especially the part about the showers & how about not giving us enough time to look decent when we went to our next class! I had to hurry so much that I looked worse when I got there, heck, the shower didn't count! My PE teacher was wicked! I think she really enjoyed being mean to all of us!
