Colleen Corby was the superstar of my teen years!
A lot more information is accessible now than the last time I searched!
Here are a couple of pictures and a few details which might refresh memories!
The madras of my dreams I was telling you about:

@LTT1 Thanks for the memories, sorry Bob Hope
She was beautiful!! Classic looks. That dress! Style still holds up.
I loved me some madras. I had slacks that were patchwork madras.
Look at how substantial the textiles were then. How cheesy most of the tops are now.

The only super model I remember from the early 60's was Twiggy (no last name needed).

I had a red leather shoulder bag —cameraBag size and style, that had madras sides. Beautifully-made and I loved it very much—it was a prized possession!
Spent hours in high school looking at Seventeen magazine and Colleen Corby!

I don't remember her but of course I remember Twiggy...she was the "it" girl in the mid/late 1960s.
Cheryl Tiegs was the all natural California gril and was popualr back then too.

@LTT1, thanks for posting. I do remember her, and she modeled a bathing suit that I just had to have (and I did get it). I had forgotten about Bonne Bell Ten-0-Six Shampoo, and just look at the prices of the shampoo and compare to what we pay today.

I remember Colleen Corby well, @LTT1 She was on so many Seventeen magazine covers!
I remember this one in particular. I was someone who wore my hair like that, too.
(I just realized the magazine was 50 cents!)
