Re: Who remembers Colleen Corby — one of 1st supermodels?

@Leiloni

Oh, same! Same wicked, wicked person or type!

Plus, one of the pictures I dug out of my yearbook shows my long hair teased (because I had very thin hair).

What a lot of work that was!

@LTT1  All that trouble for nothing, I am willing to bet that our PE teachers were jealous of us, why else would they be that dang mean, think about it. Have a great day too!

I'm guessing that PE teachers wouldn't be able to 'get away' with it now-a-days.

Sort of a form of hazing or child cruelty, or whatever.

Well, it's about time.

Several of us were sick (physically run down, stayed at home by doc's orders) for a couple of weeks after having to run around the track several times in the freezing cold each morning, in our short sleeved gym shorts outfit. Not a good thing, and that's for sure.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

SeaMaiden, I remember ALL the Yardley products! To me, they were the ultimate.

She was by far my favorite model and I always wanted to look like her and wear clothes like her. I remember the little head kerchiefs she wore....so cute on her and I looked ridiculous in them...but wore them anyway.

Seventeen magazine had her on almost every page.
