I was in my mid 20s by 1970 and I wore very short skirts.. and matching panties! I tamed the look a bit by wearing colored tights. I also had an outfit that had pink velveteen hot pants. My favorite fashion era!

I didn't wear short shorts but I did wear these:

Aria Basic Overlap Skorts in Sand        I think they called them skorts....half shorts...half skirt.    Mom and Dad didn't allow shorts.  I did get a pair of hot pants the first year of my marriage though. DH didn't mind that at all!

After I started having babies, I went more modest.

Hot pants !  I couldn't think of the term until someone brought it up.  I actually wore an outfit to work one day when I had a hot date right after work.  Of course the boots were white vinyl.  Boy did I get the evil eye from our older lady bookkeeper.   Now I'm older than she is.
