Re: Who Agrees?

@OKPrincess

Laughing about that tunic top worn alone.  But, not to school.  We had a very strict dress code...I got sent home for wearing white lace tights one time.  No pants, and skirts/dresses had to reach the bottom of the knee.

When I started work, I frequently wore tunic tops as a dress and had the legs for it back then. Cat Wink

Yikes!

I knew I was in the "danger zone" when I sat down and there wasn't enough fabric to cover my backside. Cat LOL

I'm embarrassed just thinking about it!

What a great time to be 'cruisin' the strip! We drove from one end to the other as I am sure 90% of us did at the time. In my mind was in my muscle car, but IRL it was a Chevy Vega! LOL!!!!

Well as a Boomer I agree, as I think we all do.

Definitely the Golden age of music, just as my mom's generation had the Golden age of movies..

But..

Millenials, Gen X and Z....definitely don't feel that way.

(though they are copying the fashions)

What do they know, anyway. 😂

ps. ah muscle cars❤️...love that mustang.

@Trinity11   When DH saw me in my dorm common area, I had on a dress so short it was almost illegal. He says he was immediately attracted to the legs and my audacity to wear it.

Our first date, he picked me up in a Chevrolet Impala...the longest/largest car I've eve seen.

The rest is history. 54 yrs. together in August...no more skirts or dresses, feel more comfortable and myself in slacks and jeans. SUVs have replaced the other large cars.

I went to a strict girls academy and once got sent home because I wore a white shirt with a peter pan collar instead of the mandatory pointed one!

But in 1970, it was yes, I dare to admit it, hot pants, tights and lace up suede boots for gatherings on the weekend. Ahh, to be young! Innocent fun...

Many of the girls I dated in the '50's-'60's, went to all girl Catholic High Schools. A few of them were a lot more "on the wild side", than many that went to regular public schools. I'll leave "wild" up to your interpretation.

@Witchy Woman  Wonder why they poofed my link to Sleep Walk  on Utube? I wasn't trying to sell anything! Oh well, been here long enough to know what I don't know! Something like that.

Doesn't make sense to me either...nothing there to sell.

Oh, well, I got to hear the song and bookmarked it so I can go back and listen any time.

It's one of the best and makes me misty when I hear it.
