I have a dog and this is her home so if you don't like animals you may want to reconsider visiting.
(I have a relative who hates animals (dogs, cats, etc.) so anytime she visited she expected me to put (M) in another room. This is (M's) home and she is welcome in all rooms, including when anyone visited.)
