I know how you feel, @Andreatoo.❤️   Since the word went out that John had fallen ill, the morning local radio talk show I always tune into has been reporting on his condition and playing his music, talking about his magical way with lyrics.   He managed to come through all sorts of adversities, and I think he was glad for all the days he had in his life...  still, it's so sad to know we don't have him here anymore.   But now I'll bet he's following through with his plans for "When I Get to Heaven."

Here's an interesting article I just saw today:

I think you know this one.

Bonnie Rait had a big hit with this Prine tune.

Re: We lost a national treasure

DH and I were lucky enough to see him several times in recent years.  I wasn't at all familiar with him the first time, but booked the tickets because DH really wanted to see him live.

It's not an exaggeration that, from the first note John played on his guitar, I was sitting up in my seat saying "WHAT???"  I was hooked from that moment on.

A very sad day for the musical world, but what a legacy he's left.

That's a good question but I doubt it. John's been producing his own stuff since after the first album. He tends to color outside of the lines of your popular Nashville studios
