This may seem a strange question but I am sure someone can help

every year we get wasp. Not sure where they come from. This year we have had lots. I am still killing them and I am in Mo. Where it's cold. Has anyone ever had this issue?

We think they maybe coming from the vents on the side of your home not sure what they are called or our fireplace. We do have fireplace closed but they are slim I am sure they can come on in.

how can we get rid of them?

Thanks

I get one or two a year that build a nest on my patio and I use the wasp spray to kill them.

If you are getting a lot of them, I would contact an exterminator.

yes, you definitely need an exterminator.  they will find out where they are coming from.

I wonder if they somehow get into your attic and build a nest up there and then come into your home?  I also think an exterminator would figure it out.

Agree with the exterminator call.

I saw one of those reality exterminator shows on A&E.

It was so bad the owners said their house had a 'hum' all the time.

The exterminator pulled off the siding of the house...EEPS!!!

Zillions..everywhere.  Scary since so few where flying around.

Hoogy!!

I get them too - in the spring and fall - in the spring when they area coming out of hybernation - I find them crawling on my floor - they can't quite fly yet.  Same thing in the fall - I don't know where they come from either, they just show up - some years are worse than others.

They can build a nest anywhere - especially like in back of exterior window shutters if the front of the house faces South, it's warm in there for bees, hornets and other nests.  You or an exterminator has to first locate the nest - then BOMB them. (I had an ant infestation for years - finally hired an expert - all gone for 4 years now)

The siding on my house is yellow and when I first moved into the house I had wasps everywhere, including inside my screened in porch.  The exterminator said they are drawn to certain colors, like yellow, which is why I had them and my neighbors didn't.  It turned out I had two nests one very large one tucked into an area of the roof that I couldn't see from the ground and another near my dish antenna.  The exterminator took the nests away and also sprayed but to supplement, I bought spray wasp killer and whenever I saw several of them, I would spray them (especially when they were on the porch).  After about two seasons, I got rid of them.

We moved in our apartment in September and wasps were in our decks, and they are screeened in!  Don't know where they come from either.

Maybe wasp spray?  My husband was swatting them like flies.

I had a screened in porch and they were all over it.  I saw them coming up from underneath through the small slots between the floor/deck boards.
