Not true.   Maybe your doctor doesn't but mine does.

NOT TRUE. I had a shingles shot earlier this month at my doctor's office and have an appointment for the second one in June.

This is why I don't run up and start hearting posts that are giving wrong information.  All those hearts and they are all wrong!  Geez..

This sounds like what "some" doctors office do with labwork.  Many of them won't draw blood in their office.  Lots of docs don't have the staff for it.  It has to be a "practice" with more than one doc in it and they all share the staff.

I no longer go to doctors who don't have staff that I can call for appointments, ask questions about meds, and who can't draw blood for labwork or take urine for testing if the doc so requires it.  I've had docs that made me have to go to a different laboratory for blood work to be done, then it's sent over to the doctor.  I hate that because I have to use more than one lab and I prefer not to.  Trying to get a good time of the day (if you have to fast) can be so hard for scheduling.  I prefer my docs office do all of this for me.

Some doc offices don't do some things, but it's not about the procedure or rule, it's about Your particular doctor.
