I don't get manicures. My pedicures are $55 with tip. The last time I got a pedicure I just got a color change so it really wasn't a pedicure and I regretted it. I'm going tomorrow to get a full pedicure and color change. In the winter when it's too cold to wear my flip flops I'm going to stop the pedicures and treat myself to manicures.
That's a good idea and maybe I will do that too. Winters are hard on the hands.

well yes. Everyone can say their nails are their own. However that makes it sound like you don't do anything to your natural nails. But you have dip and gels, so. My nails actually are my own, no enhancements currently. They are so weak from the gels.

@Luvsmyfam That price total seems in line with the gel nail service you had, plus chrome. Did you have pointy or coffin shape? thats extra also. The new salon in town charges all these features as add-ons.
I did $50 for the basic pedi. Its the entry level Spa pedi. The salons ALL do Spa pedis around here. That way they can use up allotted time by work on scrubbing legs and applying hot stones for a minute or two. He did NOT trim around my toes and barely scrubbed heels. I was afraid to ask because he seemed clumsy.
He only put one coat of my own nail polish and left "holidays". Noticed this while drying and spoke to manager. Owner came over and Blamed Me for bringing my own polish! she said two coats takes too long to dry! I did tip 20% but live and learn. I can do a better job myself. I do the foot soak and trim one day, foot cream overnight, paint the next morning.

I live in a suburb of Pittsburgh. I pay $35 for a regular, not gel, pedi cure. Gel pedicures are $50. I don't get manicures, so I'm not sure how much they cost.

I get just the plain pedi---nothing special added for $35, with usual polish. Then my nails are $40 for fills with plain gel polish--however, have gotten a chrome polish, cats eye, french tip and this last time was a gold sparkle--and paid alot more , $20 extra--with tip --about $100. I try to stagger my fingers and toe appointments----and also need to ASK if the polish i want is more $$ too---I go every 4 weeks

@foxywoods. I have had two coats on Pedis so that isn't normal? I bring my own polish OPI what they used because if I don't I chip my big toe and try to match it. I often wear OPI Apple Red which they carry and I own.
Basic is $35. Cash and includes exfoliating, massage, and callus removal. Cash only. ATM machine in the shop. Extra massage and rocks runs $60. They have 20% off on occasions and Birthday. I dont get gel or acrylic nails done since I retired. Some techs are better than others and one can request a certain tech.
The first and only place we had before the new one got sloppy, over booked, threw on a little lotion, no massage, cold towels when opening shop and not on time. They were a husband and wife shop with Grandma helping out in summer. She cut my cuticle once and it bled. Same price.
In two years they never knew my name when I came in every two weeks. Competion helps.
I have been doing my own Pedis also as couldn't stand any pressure on my left leg last summer after a car accident injured my legs. I would kind of do what you do ...up to put on a base coat and paint the second day.

@UpNorthGorgy these newer nail salons thin their polish. they push gel because its more $$ in their pocket. This is a big summer resort area so they get big spenders. from reviews, can see people aren't thrilled. personally when I do my toenails I apply 2 coats . The summer's coming to an end so I'll continue doing my own pedis. too much $$ now, what w food prices.
