We'd have a blast!
My wife's 50 year High School Reunion is this weekend and she wants me to go. Mulling around some of it, especially visiting the old High School we both attended(she graduated, I quit twice). My #60 was last year and she wanted nothing to do with it. Can't say I blame her, 80 year old's limping and wheeling around! Not quite 80, but most were 79+. I enjoyed it, but not enough of "the boys" I ran with were there.

Yep @qualitygal,
I'm looking, looking, looking. Read my 1st post in this thread and you will be "pretty close"(?), according to others anyways! I kinda do, but Willie when he was a little younger and did not have the deep wrinkles. I ain't got enough skin on my thin face for deep wrinkles! ☺

You can never tell what a person is like by his or her external appearance. What a person is really like is what goes on in his or her soul. Our soul is the true person. A woman may be beautiful on the outside but evil & ugly in her soul; of course the opposite holds true as well; a woman can be ugly on the outside but have a beautiful soul. Just so that you men don't fee left out, the same holds true for you. Oftentimes a person can have so much ugliness in the soul, that it does perpetuate to the external appearance.
Maybe this isn't a response you expected, but it is what went through my mind as I read the OP's post.

I never get it right when I visualize what someone looks like. I'm always way off.
Do you know who this is? I'm told I look like her.
Did you visualize me looking like this?

@LTT1You've seen a recent picture of me. Was it close to what you expected? I can take the truth!

@hckynut I went to my 50 year HS reunion 2 years ago (so now you know I'm 2 years older than your wife!). I don't know that we will have a 60th like you (we had a small class to begin with), but I really did enjoy the 50th.
Out of the 85 grads we started with, we had a little less than half come for this reunion. I actually live in a city neighboring my HS town, so it was easy for me to attend. I have a lot of respect for those who had to travel a distance just to see the rest of us. As you say, some were incapacitated to varying degrees, but most were in pretty good shape
With only 85 grads (we started with over 100 in our class), we were a pretty close knit group, so the evening was very enjoyable for all. We invited a few teachers, and they even came (free meal, of course). Even the kids I wasn't close to at the time were like long lost buddies. The only downside was there were other parties going on in the same building where we were, and somehow I picked up a nasty virus and was sick with bronchitis for about 5 weeks after the event!

yes, I think that was in keeping what I had visualized for you.
Now, I must admit, I did not have my glasses on!
