I've volunteered for a few places over years and I agree, I've never been asked to submit a photo.   The very nature of volunteer work - no pay, often hard work means they should be glad to have the help.  

I completely disagree. I dont get paid for what I do but it is my choice to be there. I’m glad they make an attempt to weed out people who might not be a good fit, or who could be looking for kids to groom. 

My SIL volunteers weekly at one or our hospitals and most weeks rocks the babies in the nursery.  She was screened ect..... like crazy and thank goodness they do that.  Photos are a must on the badge she wears.  Loves working less at her job easing toward retirement but loves doing for others with the extra time.
