I don't.  I just look at it as a money maker for Hallmark and the flower shops.  I don't need a special day to say I love you.

We go out to dinner usually a couple of days before to avoid the crowds.

We exchange cards and 'intimacies'.

When the kids were little, I made a special breakfast with valentine plates and heart-shaped pancakes; orange juice in champagne flutes, lace tablecloth and red and pink balloons all over. They loved it! Now my DD does the same for her kids. I always made a special dinner, something especially for DH, and a great dessert.

These days, DH has a sugar free, low carb lifestyle, so I don't try to do it up. I send a pop-up musical card with money inside to the grands. The school where some of them attend sells "Valentine Grams" as a fundraiser. I can send flowers or Skittles or M&M's for them to receive in their classrooms. I send the candy, and even the high schoolers love it.

We used to make a big deal out of Valentines....not so much now.

Sometimes we go to dinner and sometimes a gift...just not all the time. Each year is different.

We used to go out for dinner, but the restaurants were too crowded. Plus they had a limited menu, and we could tell that the servers were trying to rush the meals in order to get the the next group of people waiting to be seated in.

I had an older couple tell me that they no longer spent money on Valentines cards; they just recyled cards from earlier years and put them on display.

We love Valentines' Day as it is our anniversary for one thing. I have loved it since I was a little girl. Still do and we always do something special to celebrate it . Also when I married my husband I had a little girl. We became a family of three and thirty nine years later we still celebrate our family anniversary. Always a present for her. Flowers, cards, steak and lobster and a gift for each other.

Yes. We go out for dinner and I send chocolates and cards to friends and family members. I always wear red that day also! It's fun!❤️❤️❤️

Not a big deal. I remember exchanging cards with all of our classmates when we were in grade school.
