Re: The Crazy English Language

@Foxxee

Think that's crazy! Have you seen some of the new, so-called replacement words, that leave out "man/men" out of it? And there are many others that probably wouldn't pass the sniff test here, so I won't mention them. Think it still ok to say pronoun here, no?

I personally am sticking with the "old crazy", and for those that aren't !!

@Foxxee  funny!  So many words could be on this sort of list!  english is complicated!

I don't understand the zoey, zoe and the joey, joe.  Aren't they they pronouced the same?  what am I missing?

@moonandthestars

Zoey and Zoe are pronounced the same.  The "e" on the end of Zoe is pronounced as a long "e."

Joey and Joe are not pronounced the same.  The "e" on the end of Joe is silent.

The bandage was wound around the wound.

Laid is pronounced like paid but not like said.

There is no egg in eggplant and no apple in pineapple.
