Years ago we had Italian friends that had a winter place near us. They lived in Montreal (tried to emigrate to US after the war but couldn't get in so settled for Canada). They would bring their Italian family members and Canadian friends down.
She was a marvelous cook and they would have huge dinner parties with everyone. Some of us only spoke English, some only Italian, some only French. At the beginning of the dinners the friends had to translate everything to everyone. By the time the first couple of wine bottles were empty, everybody was the best friends whether we understood each other or not.

A visual aid. Parma is in the northern region of Emilia-Romagna.
Abruzzo is below that. Quite a bit below.

The great thing about we Italianos is we can argue about air, grass, it doesn’t matter what. We are born to argue, drink, eat, drink some more, and start all over again.

And that's how you bring people together!

DH is different. He doesn’t argue. In fact, we’ve never had a fight in 17 years.
BH and I don't fight, either. If he says or does something objectionable, I just glare at him and then I leave the room.
Seems to work.

Just Bee'
as far as what granddaughter has talked about she enjoys college. she is leaning towards english degree. She writes on the side. she is working on a book right now. She wants to become a publisher. of course things can change.
Wanted to let you know, My primary doctor sent a message to me via the portal he uses. DH and I read the message. As my husband said, my primary doctor said what I have with the heart issues is normal aging process. The only thing primary doctor is leaning towards is taking me off my statin drug I have been on for well over 30 years since the 80's, and putting me on another statin drug something that may give me more of boost towards controlling my cholesterol. I don't see my primary doctor till april so nothing will be done till then.
just talked with my daughter she is about 30 minutes out from getting home from that 8 hour drive from ohio.
ok guys later

I went off to college at 17 as a Theatre & Film major. Every time someone asked me what my major was I'd tell them I was a Theatre major. And then they would say: Oh. You look like an English major. So I ended up adding English and I had a double major.
When it came time to choose one major to have printed on my diploma, I chose English.
It's a degree that requires a lot of reading and writing -- and rewriting -- and she'll learn a lot more than English in her studies. She'll end up with a good handle on history and the customs of different periods.
No matter what career she chooses, she'll be able to communicate effectively and that will serve her well.
Kudos for already working on a book! ![]()
As for you, is there any way to get in to see your PCP before April? It's crazy how long a person has to wait in our healthcare system. ![]()
