When we first moved here I ordered address labels: One with a photo of Albuquerque's downtown and, the other, New Mexico's old yellow license plate with my choice of message on it.

KIX ON 66

The one that will be a favorite here?

I purchased 2 sheets of Scooby Doo stamps years ago and still have a bunch left.

I think I mail something about twice a year. 🤣

Happy St Nicholas Day! Starts this evening.

Don’t forget to put out your clogs tonight so St. Nicholas can leave a gift in your shoes. 🎅

@bikerbabe

No telling what kind of "gift" might end up in my clogs if I left them out around here!😳😂

@geezerette

This reminds me of my year in Prescott and my introduction to cicadas.  Our cats loved to hide them around the house.

A favorite spot was inside shoes.

@just bee

My visiting garage kitty has been leaving me presents.

Last night it was good-sized lively vole he brought in the garage.  It was unhurt but I couldn't get the darn thing to go back outside.  He kept running back under the tool chest with a clear path to the wide open door just a few feet away.  I finally got him out and shut the door.

Then the fun continued when I couldn't get him away from the house and back into the field.  Of course the cat didn't want him to get away.  What a deal!  He finally got the idea and ran for the cover of the tall grass with the cat close behind.

Thankfully he didn't get into my clogs, but the thought had occurred to me.

It reminded me why I vowed never to have an indoor/outdoor cat again.  I won't be leaving the garage door open for him anymore.  Either in or out, but the door won't be staying open for hours.

@geezerette :

Glad you were able to save the vole and the vole was unhurt.

A few years ago, my husband and I saw a neighborhood cat intently looking at the plants in our side yard, and suddenly the cat pounced and pulled out a ringneck snake.  We rushed outside and rescued the snake from the kitty, and apologized to the kitty.  The snake seemed unhurt.  We set the snake free after the kitty left.

Sunny and warmer here, too.  Birds are active.

Now Accuweather is saying we'll have temperatures in the 60s until the 23rd.

Then again, Accuweather is anything but accurate.
