Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2023 Edition

Gotta get this dog out, then get ready for my appointment with the oncologist.

I wonder if I can squeeze another gelato outta BH.

That sounds weird.

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2023 Edition

hello all

thanks guys for encouragement about DH and son in law

my DD did call this morn,i asked one question about her husband(remember they are separated)the kids live about 15 minutes south of us,she nearly blew a gasket, so did not get an answer on question and know not to ask her anything again. She blows up like TNT, if it is not something she does not like to talk about even then it is a tightrope asking her anything.

nurse lady just left, she was real pleased with how toe healing is going. I even got my regular shoe on today

is the new foamy pad that has been added to healing process or is the antibotics. something is really kicking in for healing this toe area. wow just having my regular shoe on today was AWESOME

OK guys later.

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2023 Edition

I'm annoyed right now because I'm starting to think I may be the only person who has some degree of phone etiquette left in the world.

I don't know this for a fact, but it certainly feels true.

I'm getting a lot of calls from the hospital now that I've become a patient.  Our hospital has a generic number so when you get a call, all you see is that number.  Could be work calling me for all I know.

So I get a message after the dog's walk.  I write down what I think is the phone number that the person said.  Once.  But I'm not sure so I try to replay the message but I'm not quick enough and the message gets saved.

Now I have to move through some saved messages and I end up deleting one that I have saved for several years for sentimental reasons.  And now it's gone.

So I don't know what number to call and what department.  I Google the number I think she said -- once -- and it's the Cancer Center.

I call and say I've been left a message.  She says you have an appointment on such-and-such a date to discuss radiation.

Usually I grab a pocket calendar before I call, but I didn't because I'm still processing the deleted message and I'm upset.  So I ask which day that is.  No response.

Hello?

All I hear is shuffling of paper and typing.

So I walk to the other side of the house to get my calendar so I can see what day that is.

I always leave a number when I leave a message and I always repeat the number.  Always.
