So we're looking at four months of chemo, then four to six weeks of radiation every day, Monday through Friday, and then surgery -- if indicated.

Tumor Board still needs to review my case.

The oncologist brought us upstairs to the chemo suites for a brief tour.  Yes, there is a view. 

I need to decide if I want the drug that infuses for two days through a port in my chest, or pills.

I may have to consult the magic 8 ball.

Is this more proof that I'm just old?

Because I've always had jobs that required phone skills.  And when I'm on the phone with people many of them tell me I have wonderful phone skills.

I rarely use the phone when I'm not at work.  I don't like long chats on the phone, either.

Yet I have phone skills without ever taking a Phone Skills course.

It's gotta be age.

Chemo: stats on infusion vs oral?

Common standard for radiation seems to be 5 days a week for 5 weeks.

No definitive plan yet.  Just options.  Tumor Board still needs to review my case.

I can't wrap my head around the logistics.  I still want to work but will I be able to?

A port is a better choice but might not be doable.  I can't afford to have a patient hit me in the chest.

The view is nice.  But for four hours straight?  I may need alternative entertainment.

This is me, looking at the bee in the urinal at the Cancer Center today.

Because I am not a male and will never be one, I am not familiar with urinals.

BH noticed a bee in the urinal and mentioned it to me and I, of course, had to see it.

Apparently they use bees and other things to create a "target."

BH said he didn't know about bees and any propensity for golden showers.

They bring May flowers, silly.

Maybe there should be one.

Infusion seems to have fewer side effects.

Radiation has terrible side effects.  She recommends a bidet.  I said BH can hose me down in the backyard.

I see two bees!  Am I right?  How weird is that?  I've never seen a urinal or a bidet.  And I've been to Europe!  

Phone skills, either you have them or you don't.

We had a boss in CS (Insurance company) that gave everyone a little mirror for their desk and it said:

Can your smile be heard?

It really worked.

I don't think the littlest generation uses the phone like we did. (Calling your friends, talking for hours.)  I do talk to my grandkids, but it's mostly texts.  You really have to force a conversation out of them over the phone.  Weird.
