I can’t believe some people. I ordered a new bag from Zappos and when I picked it up I was surprised it didn’t arrive in their usual box. When I opened the package much to my surprise I received a used bag. There was a Kleenex inside, no registration card, lipstick stains on the cloth lining and it looked like it had been well used. Zappos is sending me out a new one for delivery tomorrow. I’m not upset with Zappos. I’m sure some returns slip through the cracks like everywhere else. They are always great. I just can’t believe some people would send something back they obviously used and abused.

Ugh! Isn't that the worst?!  Glad Zappos is making it right...they are a good company...

Their customer service is exemplary. Their quick shipping is unbeatable. The last two pairs of shoes I ordered were delivered the next day. I returned something to them and it was credited within a few days.

In contrast, my return/exchange package to QVC is still sitting at the PO for pick up going on day 9 now.

There return shipping is the best. As soon as I drop something off and it gets scanned by UPS I receive an email for a credit. Not like some companies that take forever to issue a refund. Zappos is shipping out a new bag today and I haven’t even dropped off the bad one yet.

Years ago,my sister-in-law worked for Nordstrom’s in their shoe department. At that time, Nordstrom had a policy of customers being able to return anything, no questions asked. Apparently, some women would buy very expensive shoes for gala celebrations and return them after wearing the shoes for one night. They were often in rough shape. Of course, after these abuses, Nordstrom’s had to change their policy. Even retailers who try to bend over backwards for their customers often get kicked in the derriĆØre by those customers.
