Re: Teresa Caputo on The View

I really didn't need an editorial. The truth be told is she's not doing God's work. Traditionally, Catholics will follow religion not relationship therefore I again stand by my post.  She can have any inception of healing from death but that doesn't relegate her to make money from it. For Pete sake, she's on The View!

Re: Teresa Caputo on The View

I've been blessed with many assurances from my departed loved ones.

I carried much anger, for MANY years after my beloved aunts suicide.  One day I just decided I'd carried that anger far too long; I  forgave my aunt and prayed for forgiveness for my own soul.  Not long after that, my aunt called to me in a dream.  She and my uncle were standing together holding hands, looking so happy, wearing beaming smiles and looking younger than I'd ever seen them!  That image of them together continues to give me peace 38 years after her death.

To me, having the gift of peace is priceless.

My DD used to follow her and was excited to go see her in person.  Total disappointment and fake.

I guess it depends the show you attended. I went - and it seemed  genuine. She comforted many people.

I remember her and the other guy. I watched a few of their shows. Interesting entertainment, but I'm not sure I believe in their gifts. I like scientific evidence so I'm skeptical of this kind of stuff. My husband always jokes that if these people are really psychic why can't they predict lottery numbers accurately? 🤣

There are intriguing stories out there, though, of people with "special abilities" who helped solve a mystery or helped someone so who knows 🤔.

I have a friend who went to see a psychic a few times. This was many years ago before it was so easy to find info on people on the Internet. We were actually talking about it recently, and she commented it was a waste of her money.

I'm also skeptical, but I find it interesting too.

If I had had the experiences you describe, it would likely convince me this woman was tuned in to some frequency unheard by others.

Very interesting stories...thanks for sharing.

At a womens fair a few years back there was a room of mediums. I figured - 'it's included in the entrance fee let me check them out!'. Being a skeptic I provided no info when I sat with someone- a few readings were pretty much generalizations. One medium I sat with said 'an older man with one leg is watching over you.'  This was very specific - and I had just found out a few weeks prior that my Mom's father lost a leg in WWI. I took notice with this medium!

Re: Teresa Caputo on The View

It is so interesting to read these posts about people's experiences and feelings about all this.

For me, I believe that many have faith in what cannot be seen. We do not see G.d but many believe.

I also like to keep an open mind about things because there are many things we just cannot explain but they happen.

I also believe and science has shown this that life, energy cannot be destroyed. So even in death, where does that essence of a person go?

Why are there child prodigys who can play Beethoven at 3 years old etc.

I have had so many real things happen with most all of my loved ones who have died. So many that I write them down at times so I don't forget how wonderful and amazing.

To me I believe that G.d sends signs -all different to each person. Things that will reassure and comfort us to know that those we love can still give love and comfort, wherever they are and whatever form.

I've read how some have proved that these mediums are fake while others say not.

I do think there are many who are very sensitive to the energy of those they give readings to and maybe to those who are not here on earth.

There are feelings, thoughts that come that can't be denied.

I just will never say I know for sure everything about anything!

@CalminHeart   I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss, all in such a short period of time.

I hope that you have more signs from your departed family.

It was in the early 90s, I went to a Spiritual Church with my daughter. We didn't know anyone there.

There were a few mediums who would give messages to the congregation. No one asked the mediums to do this. They chose people at random.

A woman picked me out of the congregation and told me those things about my deceased mother, that I mentioned in my earlier post. They were very specific things.

The mediums only selected a few people to give these messages to. This total stranger, chose me.

Might there be a Spiritual Church near where you live?

That's a wonderful experience.

As I understand it, Spiritualism is a belief that departed souls can interact with the living. Spirituality does not involve the extrasensory perception that mysticism does, and spirituality is not tied to any formal belief system.

Mysticism entails acts where a person feels a union with a perceived (supreme) being and is usually thought to entail a particular doctrine of belief.

My religion believes that we are all connected, dead or alive, as part of the body of Christ. Everyone can have experiences with the dead if they are open enough to it. Throughout history, some saints have shared their mystical experiences.

My last experience was in February with my Dad. It gave me a lot of comfort and peace.

@RedTop

I didn't know Teresa's background story. Thanks for sharing the info. Very interesting.

I agree that people who communicate with the dead have a different gift from psychics. The 2 groups probably shouldn't be lumped together.

Have a Great Day!
