@Puddles

Puddles,   Jillian and Thomas are having a really good time and a 'learning' experience in New Orleans.   She called me today to tell me about some of the things they've seen and that have happened to them, some of which I'd be kicked off of the Q if I posted about them.   I had warned her about the French Quarter and Bourbon Street,  lots of fun but some very 'weird' stuff too.   They loved Cafe du Monde and are bringing some beignets home for us plus a box of the beignet mix.

Jillian has blisters on her feet from all the walking they have done all over the downtown area.   They went on a Mississippi Riverboat ride, a steamboat, she said.   They've had some good Cajun food etc.   Most of the time they have been using Uber to avoid having to find their way around to different places, to avoid having to find parking places etc.  I think that's good as long as they are careful about their Uber drivers.  I am a skeptic and do not trust easily.   I am wary of riding with people I don't know.  Kids are too trusting at times, but the Good Lord watches over them.   They are leaving in the morning for the long drive home.

I spent most of yesterday at my daughter's home helping with the two boys.  My daughter had to feed the baby twice during the night and change him.  Then Kiwi woke up early so by the time I got over there, she was needing a break.  I fed the baby and then Jessica got home from work.  We went to Texas Roadhouse for supper.  It was a fun time, Trenton slept and Kiwi was pretty good for having to sit while we all had supper.  He's a ball of energy.

Jessica and I went clothes shopping for the baby at "Once Upon  A Child" store.   So many little rompers for just 50cents.  He's well stocked now for 0-3 month size and 3 month plus a few 6 month size.    I love finding so many nice little outfits for the wee ones   I used to do the same for my grandchildren, but now for the most part I just give them $$ or gift cards so they can get what they like.  Not as personal, but more practical as they don't have to return or exchange my choices for their choices.  Cat Very Happy

I'd have gone over there today, but she got a good night's rest as the baby slept through one feeding, and Jessica didn't have to work.  Tomorrow the little ones will do to their babysitters' while my daughter goes to work.

Re: THE PUMPKIN PATCH

[ Edited ]

@possummink  Oh my, I bet Jillian has learned a thing or two today. LOL! I'm so glad though they had such a good time and enjoyed the sights and all the delicious food on offer. I hope they sleep good tonight after such a full day and will be rested for the trip back tomorrow.

I'm glad you and Jessica treated yourselves to supper last night. Those babies are going to be so spoiled, but I would venture to say they will be looking really spiffy after your shopping spree.

ETA: I'm glad you think the new thread is "awesome." Thank you for always supporting my ideas. I hope everyone enjoys the fall season.
