I would guess that they cannot find anyone to work.

What I would LOVE TO KNOW is how do people pay their bills without working?

@Mom2Dogs   People are working, they just don't want to work for little pay.  And, why should they?  Restaurants complaining they can't afford to pay employees, well then they shouldn't be open for business at all.  I find the owners of businesses crying that they can't afford to pay employees more money are all living in big houses and driving fancy cars.  They can pay, they just don't want to.

@SamBrown   My husband and I are very small business owners...going on 40+ years.   We don't live in a fancy house (same location for 40 years) and yes I would love to move... and my husbands car has 100,000 miles on it.

While we don't have employees our business is pretty similar to several years ago as far orders in and out...our business checkbook is low...we have not had a raise in years.  Expenses are HIGHER and yes we have raised our prices according to what we are charged but prices can only go so high.

So IF we had employes we COULD NOT pay like you mentioned..I do not think you understand how business works.

@Mom2Dogs  I understand how business works.  If you can't afford to pay an employee than you shouldn't have any.  You stated that you can't afford employees and that you don't have any, unfortunately other employers don't feel the same way.
