My agent told me the larger home insurance increase is due to inflation and the increased cost of building materials and labor.

 

The auto increase is due to inflation, unavailability of parts and increased costs of labor. They are totaling vehicles that should have been repaired but the parts weren't available.

A couple of weeks ago I sent in my check for the next 6 months on my auto.  It went up $30.00 from the last August 2023 premium I paid.
