@geezerette : My DH's youngest brother sales insurance. He called yesterday to state that our house insurance increasing by $21and all other companies are doing about the same increase in our state. DH said his car insurance increased last month.
Several other services has increased prices this month : our yard cutting, our yard chemical services. The gas company stated they will be installing new digital meters. Trying to stay positive and make budget changes .

I had Liberty Mutual for nearly 35 years. So did my parents. Never made a claim, car or house until when we moved and ued the tub for the first time. Flooded the bathroom room and something was wrong with tub itself and it was a waterfall below. Thank goodness below is my garage. Not only did Liberty Mutual deny the claim, they doubled our rates. Went to Allstate. Had a little savings there. I liked that there was an office and people I can see or talk to over the phone close to home. Year after year, Allstate increases were substantial. When I would ask why they usually would say, your zip code had the largest increase. Finally went to an insurance broker. Got more and better coverage on home for less money. I remember her telling me that those insurance companies with all the commericials on TV, that's also what you're paying for. Our policies are due in June. I expect an increase because of inflation the way it is but hopefully not like AllState. We've been with the insurance broker a couple of years and increases have been minimum so far. Hope that continues.

In the process of getting new insurance quotes right now--home (new roof 2018), umbrella, two '21 vehicles, and boat. Farmer's has gone up and up and up...mainly on our vehicles. My vehicle is $300 more every 6 months right now vs. what I paid when it was brand new! My husband's truck is about the same. Never an accident nor claim, and no tickets for 15 years.
Got my first quote from Safeco today. All policies combined? Only $43 cheaper. Not worth the switch. The vehicles' premiums were significantly cheaper, but the home and umbrella were significantly more negating the savings. We've at least had a claim with Farmer's (roof/gutter hail damage) and had excellent service. No gripes with Farmer's except for the prices.
But! Checking a few more just in case there would be some savings of several hundred dollars somewhere...

We have State Farm for four cars, two RV's, two boats and our home along with some life insurance.
We support our agent and keep his office running, I swear. I know our insurance went up, but not by 25%.
On the bright side, whenever we had a claim, they paid on time with no hassle.

@geezerette : I double checked. This year chose to pay a monthly premium instead of annual payment . The monthly premium increased $21 and paying $136. We changed insurance companies last January because the previous increase was over $200 and always had issues trying to contact the agent. Don't like making changes but sometimes necessary. DH brother just called and stated he will retire in May.

I have Allstate and mine has gone up every 6 months. Now it's $200 higher than a year ago . It costs a lot to repair these cars. I had someone scratch the entire side of my 2023 car with a shopping cart and keyed it. Done on purpose because I have something nicer than they must have 😡
